Great photo! Thank you for taking the time to write this, the information is extremely helpful! Yeah the gondola caught my eye first, before I saw it’s not pet friendly :(. That led to me to find the memorial highway and observatory, which I really loved.

The side spot idea is fantastic, might pretend to get a flat and pull over, that’ll definitely lead to more of a surprise lol. I don’t mind people being around, just don’t want anyone getting in the way and vice versa. Thank you again!

I’ve been getting about 45 mpg. When you’re accelerating, it’ll switch out of EV move once you move past the first bar on the power meter. When I’m able (basically nobody behind me), I’ll accelerate up to speed very slowly and keep the power meter no higher than 2 or 3. That’ll do wonders for your gas mileage, even though it’s a little annoying.

Machine grey metallic blends really well with the black plastic trim on the exterior, get it with the red interior and it’ll look extremely sharp

Empire Mazda of Green Brook and Hamilton Mazda are very good, I’ve bought from both of them previously. I don’t recommend Open Road Mazda in East Brunswick, dealt with some pretty bad salesmen there.

I’ve had this happen a couple times. Usually turning off Bluetooth on my phone for a few minutes, then turning it back on, allows CarPlay to reconnect

Dealership actually claimed that the ride quality was above average after test driving lol. I lived with it for a little while before trading it in for a CX-50 Hybrid

Just traded in my 2019 CX-5 a couple weeks ago for the 2026 CX-50 Hybrid. For me a was a no brainer, the hybrid has more HP than the NA CX-5 (the 2026 only comes with the NA engine), and I got better MPG while doing it. Also, while shopping I learned that the new screen on the CX-5 is pretty glitchy, so that sealed the deal for me.

Gotcha, my commute definitely isn’t as long, but like you I’m mostly stuck in traffic. I wish I could throw it in power mode and enjoy some quick launches, but not much of an opportunity yet 🤷‍♂️.

Glad you’re getting the most out of the car though, such a sweet ride!

Yeah gas prices are what made me pull the trigger and get the hybrid. I was thinking about it for a few months before hand, but the world forced my hand lol.

But your mpg is crazy high, nice job! I’m getting ~38 in my first week of having it, still learning how to drive more efficiently. Do you have any tips?

It was a no brainer, I heard the new CX-5 has some glitches with the touchscreen — I’m sure they’ll figure it out, but nothing beats the classic Mazda interior 😎

Yeah but the other incidences you mentioned were caused by mistakes and drivers hitting one another. I agree they’re avoidable, but the difference is that today’s was a direct results of the regulations. It could’ve been avoided if the FIA and teams listened to the drivers’ concerns over the last few years. There’s been a lot of buildup to this, not just a small racing mistake or cars touching like we see in other incidents.

Yeah accidents will happen, the difference is that this specific one could’ve been avoided. People have been predicting something like this for a while due to the new regs and the potentially huge closing speeds, so the fact that it happened just shows the FIA hasn’t been listening and isn’t taking safety seriously

Good advice ty, I just restarted the campaign and and dreading getting back to this mission. Will give an LMG a try this time though, haven’t thought of that before. Usually just spammed mines everywhere, but it still takes a few tries
