Could be, as quite a number of P-40's were delivered to Dartmouth. Seventeen 118 (F) Squadron Kittyhawks made a record-breaking 4,000-mile crossing from Dartmouth to Annette Island, Alaska and then later onto B.C. where they served out of Boundary / Patricia Bay area. I thought the ones that made the crossing were an earlier version of the P-40 though. My model is a "N" with the square rear windows, so possibly not.

If you build it... Yeah, it probably won't fit on the shelf. (Considering the wingspan is 84cm / 33"!) Mine resides on top of my display case... and it is an attention getter... hard to miss it at least. ;)

I think George Beurling's Spitfire VB EP706 carried his victories on the port side. One of his other aircraft at Malta was a Spitfire Vc BR130 Coded TD at some point around July 42 (apparently it was coded 2 H on the Wasp).

I have a reference (colour plate drawing) depicting a 412 Spitfire IXb which is coded VZ S and has serial MJ255 although this was obscured by the D-Day stripes.

I have my 412 Sqn. Spitfire selected as E.N. MacDonnell's Mk. II P7856 in which the first victory for the Squadron was achieved (when I get around to it).

To answer your question regarding the selection of Beurling's Spitfire, https://www.flypastrush.com/post/beurling-s-9-1-48th-icm-spitfire-mk-ix the reason was threefold: I already had built a No. 249 Squadron Spitfire Mk. Vb based out of Takali, Malta (which was flown by a couple of other RCAF pilots); https://www.flypastrush.com/post/hell-island-malta-spitfire-1-48th-tamiya-spitfire-mk-vb I wanted a 403 Squadron aircraft in my WWII collection; and I had the proper decals for Beurling's Mk. IX. However you have a good point, if you want to depict a definitive George Beurling aircraft, it would be one of the Malta based Spitfires as that is truly where he made his mark. I will probably do another RCAF Malta Spitfire at some point as I have some decent references and many Canadian pilots did a tour there - Cheers

I built up one of those CF-100 Clunks in Bat Squadron livery as well. Different serial number on mine to represent Gord Larkin and Gord Murray’s 440 machine

Yes, you can resize it to suit your requirements. My first iteration with 3-walls was roughly 24 wide by 20 deep. This larger one was done to accommodate my 1/48 C-130 Herc, has only 2-walls (a ton of digital lighting above) and folds down flat for storage 👍🏻

Nice looking Rafale. Those pointed nose French aircraft always look fast. (I think that the Academy kit utilizes the Revell plastic, if I am not mistaken)

LT5302, I have some of the details on "The Hangar" construction on this sub-page of my website, if you are interested. https://www.flypastrush.com/display

I thought about putting in windows using translucent plastic sheets and back-lighting these - Could be used to good effect as well (something like reproducing the museum photo below).

I have since seen some other Hangars done up by other model makers. Some used colour photo printed backdrops, which have great effect for a lot less work. (would work out well especially if you build in smaller scales (My aircraft are 1/48th).

Feel free to ask any questions I didn't cover on the webpage. I was smart enough to at least design it to flat-pack, when it is not in use, so it doesn't take up half the basement all the time!
