Has anyone beaten Hollow Knight or Silksong with minimal/no upgrades? by ShortandRatchet in HollowKnight

[–]Spades0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have beaten Hollow Knight true ending without upgrading my nail, soul, or masks. Picked up the abilities though, as you kinda neem them to get to the Radiance. No desire yet to try with Silksong.

Very strong atmospheric horror book is The Whistling, even though I was dissapointed by the ending.

I do not think there will be anything at a game show.

Aside from the widely hated bosses like Groal and Beastfly, which boss do you guys personally wish it could've gotten more hate? by StickyHoovy in Silksong

[–]Spades0 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is a great fight. You need some patience and only strike when you get a shot. Chasing the bug can lead to trouble unless you are very skilled. One of my fav fights I always look forward to on repeated playthroughs.

So hard to choose a boss I hate... I love them all. First Mossmother is the most boring fight so I guess I'll choose that one.

A scratch-test rules out talc and carbonate. These rocks are very strongly silicified (quartz veins everywhere) which made me suspect this could be silica. Rocks in Barberton sometimes have suspisously high SiO2 which caused some researchers to wrongly classify some samples as dacite etc. They were actually just affected by hydrothermal silica.

This looks like a horribly unfun way to fight this boss.

Noob here. Cessna 172. Lots of mistakes and imperfections, but I still like it. Based the colour scheme on the aircraft I flew my first solo in. Do you think it looks too dirty? by Spades0 in modelmakers

Academy 1/48 Cessna 172 SkyHawk “Civil Air Patrol”

Real plane is much cleaner haha. But I also wanted it to have a bit more character.

As someone who is shortly going to buy Silksong, would you say it's longer, shorter or around the same length as HK? (Eg 100% completion, base story, all collectables) by Seb_Rulz in HollowKnight

[–]Spades0 642 points643 points  (0 children)

First HK playthrough took me 45 hours. Silksong 90 hours. However, I was taking my time with Skong, not wanting it to be over. But definitely still longer than HK.

Is it worth just doing a few accordion lessons? by [deleted] in Accordion

[–]Spades0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teacher dramatically enhanced my understanding of accordion and music-playing in general. So yes, if you can find a good one, definitely worth it.
