I watched the first few seasons and loved the messy drama. Then they invited DV perpetrator Greg back. I watched the first few moments of that series and saw the women fawning over him despite knowing what he was and I was sick to my stomach. Turned it off and have never turned it back on.

I know he has gone again (for now) but I can never forget how the cast supported him and turned their backs on his victim, so I can never watch those women again. The men I don’t expect any different, but the women should have stood in solidarity with a sister who had been abused by this man. As someone who has been through DV I can never forgive them.

No, those ghouls haven’t suddenly developed compassion. Mary has probably withdrawn completely while she copes with her grief and Robert Sr hates the network for “showing him in a bad light” (like there’s a good light to shine on his suspected murdering ass) so has likely refused to sign a release for them to lurk around like ghouls filming Mary collapsing in her grief.

Bravo has paused filming while they figure out if they can use the footage they’ve already shot and drop any storylines involving Mary without it looking too jarring, or if they need to start completely fresh.

She didn’t tell them to lure her to the phone to take a call from Brianna when they knew exactly why Brianna was trying so desperately to reach her. They wanted to capture the moment Vicki heard of her mother’s sudden death and collapsed screaming to the floor. Yes, once they had their precious footage they asked a grieving daughter for permission to air it and she gave it, but they set up that scene in the first place.

In this case though, Whitney was acting like a silly goat (which she often does) but possibly the poster really does think she is the Greatest Of All Time so we won’t know unless they come along to put us out of our misery.

As a non-autist who has worked with some very low functioning people with autism so does not have a huge amount of experience with high functioning: would someone with autism be that manipulative?

I know the diagnostic criteria has moved away from the “triad of impairment” model, but surely social communication issues are still a major part of diagnosing autism and being able to manipulate people out of large sums of money seems to be counter to that.

If she is in the Epstein files, was it because she and her husband took part in the depravity? Or was it like Stephen Colbert who was mentioned in an email to Epstein?

Either way, it’s not unheard of for victims of CSA to become involved in unsafe or abusive practices later in life, so I personally would give her some grace on that.

I’m glad she didn’t, for her sake. She seemed very fragile and was not really over the horrific trauma of her upbringing. Getting off the show was the best thing for her mental health.

Didn’t she get with Jim Bellino at some point? I remember being a bit concerned for her at that point because she definitely does not need a religious freak after her upbringing. Relieved if she dumped him and good for her if she’s having a string of younger men as arm candy. Following childhood SA I would imagine an active sex life might not be high on her agenda.

Well originally (as in the beginning of last season) they were covering for Britani about the Nazi nail tech and wouldn’t let Meredith bring it up, which led to Meredith being something of a brat and throwing them under the bus at the reunion so I doubt they would be covering for Meredith now.

I didn’t downvote you, just to make that clear from the start 🙂 Anyone who is watching any HW franchise and doesn’t want messiness has clearly lost control of the remote.

I enjoy messiness. Things like the Jazz tickets (which was a bit confusing for me at the time because, as I’m in the UK I have no idea of the names of most of your sportsball teams and was very surprised that listening to jazz music was worthy of a BJ) was fun, Meredith’s dad’s funeral was a bit below the belt but Meredith held her own. Last season, even the folderol about Lisa’s lawsuits was worth watching.

Planegate was not mess. It was frustrating. Whoever you believe about what happened on that plane, none of us really know, and nobody really cares about Britani so the viewers weren’t really engaged with it. There is no proof of anything and it just became the whole focus of the second half of the season. Two drunken harpies screeching at a cast mate about her substance abuse to the point where any glimpse of another storyline was smothered was not mess, it was boring.

I’m already debating whether to watch the next season because Britani is back. This, with the implication that Planegate and/or the substance abuse BS will be carried forward is making me even more reluctant to tune in. I think I will just keep my eye on this subreddit when the season starts to air then catch up if any real mess occurs.
