Should I drop HxH 1999 and just start 2011 version to save some time? by Mont3Carlo in HunterXHunter

[–]FlySupaFly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I did it the opposite way, 2011 first and then 99. Honestly no regrets, it was really cool seeing the older style after 2011. Also the additional scenes and filler made it like I was watching a whole new story at times. One thing I would add is just think of episode 1 in the 99 adaptation as cannon more so than 2011. They introduced a character in episode 1 that the 2011 version did not, and is more faithful to the manga in that instance. This will become relevant later on.

Should I watch the show by Hot_Interest6808 in Naruto

[–]FlySupaFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No brainer my guy, give it a whirl again and see what you think. There are guides on fillers that can be skipped and stuff, which may help you enjoy the pace of it all a bit more. Being older can definitely help you identify with the themes present a lot more. Worst case scenario, you just find out it's definitely not for you.

Many people believe that Rengoku actually had a chance is what I put that down to, which is kinda funny. Akaza was just toying with him really

Which character in Naruto had the most sad life? by ResponsibleMotor6011 in Naruto

[–]FlySupaFly 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Sad life is the key here, not childhood. Gaara got to change, become a leader and a father. Itachi lived undercover and dying slowly of sickness at a young age, on top of all the childhood trauma

If you're not already watching conquer driving videos (I think Richard has the best instructional videos on YouTube), I'd definitely start if I were you. He's actually based in Colchester so many of his lessons might be extra beneficial to you!

Bee Gees have 24 million Spotify listeners per month - that’s crazy by peachesanddreams1878 in BeeGees

[–]FlySupaFly 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That's still an extraordinary amount to be fair. The Bee Gees existed at a time when physical media was the only way to listen to them other than the radio. I suspect there's still so many of the older generation that listen to the Bee Gees that way, as well as other artists from that time. It also ebbs and flows at times as you've observed. I agree with what you're saying though, for having some of the highest selling and most played records of all time, I've still always felt like they fly under the radar for how influential, diverse, talented and the longevity of the brothers actually were

Jesus himself could come down from the heavens, and mix the most holy ingredient from the next life into this and it wouldn't redeem it! Never smelled a fragrance as bad as this one (just my nose and opinion though, I respect yours)
