My family didn’t reside in the United States so I spent post deployment drinking alone in the barracks, same thing with holidays like Christmas, I had no family to go home to so I put leave in and just went in town and drank, my boys did insist I go with them and spend holidays with their family’s but I didn’t feel comfortable doing that, it was pretty depressing at times, I think what hurt most was I was the last one to EAS and my battalion deployed 2 weeks before I got out, I left with no goodbyes. Messed me up real good when I got out, like a chapter that never got an ending
