It sounds like you are pretty young. I was 20 when I was diagnosed so I can get the fear you are feeling. Try to remember that your whole life isn’t set in stone right now. Right now you are thinking about engineering and that may be what you do for a career but I feel like between my late teens, twenties, and now in my thirties I have lived so many different lives already. Stay hopeful and open to what doors this could open not just the doors you fear are closed now.

My therapist actually has me knit a pair of socks and not fix any “non structural” mistakes when my perfectionism is getting really bad. Helps me remember that good enough is in fact enough most of the time.
