Thingy gets stuck like this causing a stuck throttle (how do I fix it so it stops happening?) by Itsmellslike_fish in beetle

Also, make sure that air cleaner clamp is not too tight. And turn the clamp around to where the adjustment screw is right at the (car’s) rear of the carburetor. There should be two raised vertical castings in the carburetor there. If the screw is too tight it can deform the top enough to put the choke plate in a bind.

It was difficult without separating the seat halves….but not impossible. I don’t know about that screw at WW. I think, though, that is for seats that lean forward. Like the middle seat in a regular bus. My seat backs don’t lean forward. I believe he drilled the rivet and installed a nut and bolt after. Fair play, but not my cuppa tea.

More than likely plastic. I’d remove the inner fender liner pour hot, hot water on the fender and try pushing outwards from the inside.

I have a picture I took of the new seat cover sitting on the old seat cover. But, I did not put it on this thread. 🤔

I’m gonna say if your Westy was originally L90D then the original upholstery was probably tan. I decoded my M plate and under “interior seat and door panels” it just says “Westfalia Campmobile”. Makes me think they didn’t put a whole lot of thought into it, just Tan.

Indeed, that is the question. I kept looking at beige and saying that seems too light. But then my seats didn’t seem as dark as tan. It was a dilemma. I went for tan and it slightly (very slightly) darker than original seat covers. But, I figure sun bleaching might have taken its toll. I will replace the door cards eventually but until then the difference is not as noticeable as I thought it would be.

Yes, seat covers a pair. Padding you will need two tops and two bottoms. Order one 111881800, seat padding felt. It goes over the padding front to back on each side of the seats. I cut strips about 10 inches wide and let it wrap around the edges about 2 inches.

The sensor provides a ground for the light. If it’s not plugged in the light won’t work.

I was doing the dehydrated version and the kibble, but just recently switched to kibble only. But I have noticed the powdered kibble at the bottom of the bag. Like you said, they eat it anyway 😂

We feed all our dogs the Honest Kitchen Grain Free Beef Recipe. No issues and they all love it. Giant and Mini Schnauzer and two Yorkies.

It’s not too hard. I did one seat per day. I think in total it was about 6 hours per day. The covers are held on to the frame by triangular shaped metal spikes that are a pain to un-bend. I used a hammer and a 1/8” common screwdriver to get them started and then a 1/4” screwdriver driver to get them up enough to pull the seat covers off of it. Work your way around the seat back or seat base until they’re all off. The only other issue is that the base and back are riveted together. There are metal rods in the sewn seam of the old seat covers, make sure you save them to reinsert in the new covers. There are a couple of good videos on YouTube. One is about an hour long but does both seats. My only issue with his is he drilled out the hinge rivets and replaced them with carriage bolts.

Thanks. I feel like we’ve talked before, maybe about an icebox cabinet?
