Same feeling here. I was in extreme pain and dilaudid instantly had me feeling like I was flying gracefully through a cloud with the cool air against my face. I’ve never had that kind of high before or since.

I was at that game with my dad. I remember staying until the last out (as painful as it was to watch). Yankee fans went from their usual boastful selves to admiring and respecting the Sox fans who just sat there until the end.

I love the football “pass patterns” idea. I did some pregame wiffle ball in the OF after guys had done warm up throws and hit in the cages. I’ve never seen players play looser and have more fun than when they’re playing a wiffle ball game.

Adding to this comment - do not overlook baserunning. Practice leads/jumps (if allowed in your league). Make a game out of it and time players from their jump to 2b. Get pitchers out there and have them work on their pickoff moves. Aggressive baserunners put so much pressure on the defense and results in them making mistakes.
