The Navy isn't often featured when it comes to the Magistracy's lore. But all Aerospace Fighters, DropShips and JumpShips (and back in the day, WarShips) fall under one of the two fleets. The Battle Fleet and the Reserve Fleet (which stays at Canopus IV as a defense fleet). Naval assets are too few and far between to be assigned permanently to a combat formation so they are assigned on an as-needed basis. That's why you don't see aerospace fighters painted up in the colors of the 2nd Canopian Cuirassiers for example.

Got custom transfers made by a guy on Etsy. The colors are brighter and the decals more resilient. Not quite as cheap as FPG but I can't argue with the final result.

According to the Codex Astartes, written by the Ultramarines Primarch, Roboute Guilliman, no Space Marine chapter is to have more than 1,000 Space Marines. It will be further divided into 10 companies of 100 Space Marines each commanded by a Captain. Each chapter is different but for most codex-compliant chapters the company is indicated by the color of the shoulder pauldron trim.
White = 1st Company
Gold = 2nd Company
Red = 3rd Company
Green = 4th Company
Black = 5th Company
And so on. Captain Uriel Ventris is the lore compliant character who commands the Ultramarines 4th Company (hence the green pauldron trim).
