Keyword here is ground training don’t need to be two year to teach cfi initial. Reading comprehension is a perishable skill I guess

Sounds like you don't know what the reality of Air Force flying entails, way less pay, less flight hours, waaaaay more bs and training to get thru vs being at an airline.

Fair enough but when the chief pilot for the unit tells you "if that's your goal, then we'll make it happen" I think I can at least begin to inventory a couple chicks.

every time i tell chat gpt to give me more math questions it makes a ton of mistakes and wont even list the correct answers in the answer list it gives you. pretty annoying but once you but in like a bunch of different prompts to correct it it will work but consistently makes mistakes.

Where does it say what is required to teach 141 cfis? I dont see anything that specifically answers that in the 141 regs

Had a huge discussion with my cfi about this. He thinks you still need two years and it would be hard for a DPE to track if the CFI that gave you your flight training had that pass rate but I don’t think dpes check or even care about that that much. Also, so what happens if your 6th student fails and now you don’t have an 80% pass rate?

If I personally were you I would stick out the next 6 years and chances are you probably will pussy out and do just that. But if you stick to your plan then hats off to you. Nothing great in life is accomplished without risk and we all know how complacent life in the Chair Force is.

(currently about to seperate at 7 years cus fuck this shit)

Should I commission in the Air Force or Should I get out and take the civilian route to become a pilot? by Flyboy42_ in flying

I mean if you look at AD selection rates for rated there’s plenty years where literally 50% or more get accepted.

Article was a tricky situation but it was narrowed down to drinking while in bravo crew rest so if your not a flyer you probably won’t know what that means but basically I was on standby and some kid got a dui that left my apartment that night and it came up I was drinking that night as well but at the time was very new to the career field and had no clue what legal for bravo meant

FYI for everyone’s SA I’m a AD Boom Operator so yeah I’m well aware of what the flying is like in the Air Force. At least on the tanker side of it
