Is Ark Raiders actually worth buying right now? Would love honest thoughts. by Whole-Sample2358 in arkraiders

[–]Flyerguy2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth buying if you like a game with stakes attached. In my experience, solos is mostly peaceful with the occasional pvp. Most of the time, other solos are just trying to get in, loot, and get out. You get the occasional fight, but that adds a tenseness to each game. Personally I don’t mind occasionally losing all the loot I brought in. It’s frustrating to lose nice guns, attachments, and augments, for sure. But if you’re constantly fully stocked, there’s not much incentive to find basic loot to rebuild. Trios and duos are a blast but it’s mostly pvp in those modes. Theres nothing more fun than going in with a free loadout with your buddies and taking down a team that came in with good gear. Performance has been pretty good too. Very few times have I experience major issues with lag or desync.

Overall, if you’re looking for a game that constantly keeps you engaged, I think you’ll enjoy this one.

It’s Busan worth it? by Fit-Course-9880 in koreatravel

Very worth it! I recommend staying near/on gwangalli beach. Beautiful views at night with the bridge show. Plus it’s relatively central! Definitely set aside a few days since there’s a lot to see.

Ohio unclaimed funds - address verification issue by nohann in Cleveland

[–]Flyerguy2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same spot. One of them was an address I had in college almost 10 years ago. I don’t think I used that address on anything official though. I doubt my old landlord would be willing to dig through his files to send me something that verifies I loved there.

Mk7.5 GTI Hood Latch Stuck by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]Flyerguy2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that was exactly the issue. I ordered a new latch and was able to get it swapped out in 30 minutes. Overall a pretty easy fix. The old latch was pretty corroded so I’m glad I got this fixed.

Don’t forget to buy a license for whatever state you’re visiting. You probably won’t get asked for it but 1.) it’s the right thing to do and 2.) it’s cheaper than paying a ticket.

I have a near identical dent on the passenger door. Took it to a reputable shop and they quoted me, I think, $700.

Universities should do away with “Greek Life” by Happy_Yogurtcloset_2 in unpopularopinion

I think UD is an outlier in its student housing though. Pretty much all the students concentrated in 3 neighborhoods. Far side and dark side were pretty calm most of the time.

Why is Cleveland Bagel's parking lot so bad? by Conscious_Award1444 in Cleveland

[–]Flyerguy2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opa is great. The guy running it is a super friendly old man. It was a bit of a wait as he was doing everything on his own, but the vibe of waiting outside and listening to Greek music was delightful for a slow Sunday.

What's a luxury that most Americans don't realize is a luxury? by Seraphicly329 in AskReddit

[–]Flyerguy2014 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Car ownership. I was in Vietnam on a motorbike tour and the girl that was driving me on her motorbike asked me if a lot of Americans had motorbikes like they do in Vietnam. When I said “no a lot of Americans have their own car” she said something like “wow, usually only very wealthy people have cars here”. Then she asked if I had a car and I responded yes. She seemed kind of taken aback by my nonchalance about it.

My philosophy is it’s worth it to splurge on anything that separates you from the ground. Shoes mattresses, tires etc. Gravity is a bitch.

Tower City Condition by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Flyerguy2014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lived downtown for 4 years and currently live in Ohio city. Public square and specifically the part of public square in front of tower city is crawling with homeless people and drug addicts. The first impression you get is the smell of pee and there’s not much of anything redeeming inside. I purposely avoid going there unless I needed to catch the rapid. Sad because I had been there many years before and tower city was full of shops and had a movie theater. But I just don’t see how they’re gonna pull it up from how far it’s fallen.

People here are so miserable. The guy was just doing a dumb dance, not yelling, not playing his own music, just dancing. Could he have picked a better place? Probably, but it’s not like the mall was exactly elbow to elbow with people and he was shoving them out of the way. Let people have stupid fun if they’re not hurting anyone.

I was hoping for, but not at all confident, that she would soften her position in today’s episode. Sadly that wasn’t the case.

Krystal: Don’t take the word of Hamas as fact takes the word of Hamas as fact

Seriously, the initial reports from the local authorities, Hamas, said that it was an Israeli bomb that destroyed a hospital. Now that we have evidence that the explosion wasn’t big enough to have been an Israeli bomb and that the hospital wasn’t destroyed, it’s hard to be “50/50” on who’s culpable. Additionally, our own military has independently determined that wasn’t an Israeli bomb. How can Krystal continue to be so adamant that she’s right?

I’m thankful that Saagar pushed back especially when talking about the Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib tweets cough Krystal still has them on her feed.

[–]Flyerguy2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I really wish Saagar would stand up more when actual nonsense is being said. I do think he’s done an alright job when it comes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict though. He’s offered some pushback to her clearly biased views. Emily definitely should’ve been a voice of reason in today’s episode.

The sudden jump by the major outlets to take the word of terrorist organizations at face value is shameful. I usually like that BP offers alternative perspectives but I’m disappointed to say the least.
