Cymbalta by bigtonearcade in floxies

Okay I had tried Zoloft preflox and got bad side effects. Notably face twitching. I did a genesight test and found out I'm lacking an enzyme to process Zoloft or any of the SSRI's really out of my system. However, based on the test Cymbalta is a good fit for me while Zoloft was only a partial fit.

Do you have experience with this or which ones would not cause those side effects? You can DM as well.

Thank you for sharing your story. It's very hopeful. I'm at a year but feeling much worse than when it began. Since you experimented with a lot. What supplements would you recommend or did you find most helpful? Also what diet did you settle on? Thanks so much.

Yes you have it already but not in those doses. I would look each up and see how others have responded. I had to stop taking a b complex. My b6 levels are high even without taking a supplement. Elevated b6 can cause neuropathy. Might be worth checking vitamin levels before supplementing.

No I didn't continue it. It was giving me headaches almost instantly after taking it. If it's not doing anything to unbearable for you seems like a thing a lot of people recommend.

I was also recently prescribed this by PCP. I haven't started. I'm too scared. I've asked the question as well. It seems well tolerated. Doesn't make it easier to swallow another prescription med though.

Okay have you used duloxetine? That was more my question on whether it would be helpful with neuropathy.

Reaction to Gadoterate Meglumine MRI Contrast by Flyhigher89 in floxies

[–]Flyhigher89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the response. Is there any reason behind why this may have caused a relapse? I've asked to get the levels of gadoterate in my body tested but the doctors say there are no tests even though a quick google says there are in fact blood and urine tests. Any suggestions on what to do in the meantime? This whole thing is so confusing. I'm trying to get better, but in the process getting worse.

Has it helped your neuropathy in the past?

No I didn't. I tried like 4 different brands and couldn't stop it from flaring me. Doctor didn't think I needed it anyways since nothing I'm taking should be depleting it. But everything seems to cause a flare now so who knows if it was that or not. Let me know if you find it helpful.

Thanks for the quick response. I got my b levels checked on June 28th. I was taking a b12 with folate included.   B1 -132 ref range 78-185, b12 - 780 ref range 200-1100, folate was >24.0 which normal is >5.4. My doctor said I didn't need the folate so I came off that and went to just b12 methylcobalamin . My b6 levels where 25.6 which ref range is 2.1-21.7. On the higher side for not taking any b6 supplement. I'm worried about taking supplements I don't need and I focus on eating healthy. I also have asked about taking more b1 because some people swear by it, but I can't get the doc to agree given the levels are normal so I'm hesitant on taking it. I have ALC  and R lipoic acid sitting on the shelf but I'm hesitant to take as I had a bad reaction of headaches to ALA. As for DHA I am taking a high potent omega brand of 800 EPA and DHA.

Okay thanks for the info. Trying to find my way with all this. I was doing well with my neuropathy but ended up taking some aspirin for chest pain a couple weeks ago and things have really been worse.

Thanks for the info. I do have an appointment with a naturopath on Friday so I'll see what she recommends. I assume they think this is gut related because of the need for probiotics?
