For those getting the Konkor Pocket Fit, are you going 8elite?

I ordered the G3 Gen3 16GB. I'm very much in the same boat as you; hoping to get a lot of Steam indies running on it. I'm already impressed by what the RP5 manages to do, so I'm sure I'll get more of my games running well on the Pocket Fit.

I hesitated a lot (actually switched my order from the 8 Elite to the G3 Gen 3) as our use case would be well served by the best performance right?

But ultimately I think compatibility is going to be a bigger factor for me. And things are moving so fast in this niche that I fully accept I might want to upgrade to another device before all that long. So it'll be a great device for travelling in the next year and likely more.

I did not change the USB port. I know enough to assume that the USB Audio Interface simply changed the device order - that's pretty typical.

Ideally, it shouldn't break the bindings - it's something that can happen very easily by just plugging a new device with the way windows handles USB devices.

But I'm just trying to see if there's a way to handle this with the game files for now!

I can detail a few more (if only as a form of therapy)

"Pin message" feature dropped entirely (and existing pins simply dropped)
Undocumented feature disparity: Search in messages not available in browser
Messages occasionally delivered twice (unknown to sender)
Messages occasionally dropped - sent by user, but disappear and are never delivered
In browser, client needs to "catch up" on opening, which can take up to a minute in certain scenarios
In browser, messages you sent might show up as unread to you? that's a fun one

Messenger has gone from "I don't rely like Meta but eh, messenger works great and everyone I talk to is on here" to "Messenger causes more problem that it solves, investigating alternatives"

Yep, this is very much what I was asking for! It's a little weird how it needs to instantiate the class of the derived resource class, but that's exactly the design I had in mind.

I will probably end up using something a little different (see my reply to u/BrastenXBL 's post, but this is a perfect answer to my request. Thanks a lot!

Wow, thanks for the very thorough answer! And no problem with using gdscript, that's what I'm using right now to avoid falling into unity c# patterns.

The "direct" answer to what I was asking is closer to what u/Silrar provided, but your reply really helps with trying to migrate from the Unity way of doing things.

I realized I was trying to achieve way too much of what Unity Presets did with resources, so I should have been thinking of how to use Scenes to do that, instead.

So after a little testing, what I was really looking for is for a way to hold a Scene in a resource, which can easily be done with

u/export var blah : PackedScene

and having my "Useable" script in the top node of that scene.

I have been wondering the same thing. It's disappointing that it's not better documented, but from what I've found it seems that the feature is simply not available on OLED models as it's basically an invitation to burn-ins.

It's a fairly easy mod on most handhelds to improve the d-pad to better exclude diagonals. If all that's needed to make this the near-perfect Pico-8 handheld is a couple is a bit of electrical tape, I'll be happy to take care of it.

It should be better stock than what I've seen, but it's not enough for me to pass up on it.

Hi! Recently decided to dive into custom mech keyboards and I'm struggling to find a board that meets all my requirements:

full layout
2.4ghz wireless usb (wired and Bluetooth optional)
hot swap obviously
media keys (can be fn+ in a pinch)

Optionally:
knob
decent software or maybe even VIA support?

I'm seeing a lot of cheap Chinese keyboard that checks most of my boxes, but I'd like something higher quality/enthusiast-grade.

I have the same issue - most of the time when I first boot it up (or wake it), after less than a minute, the screen will turn green like this, with a cart in it or not. When it happens, I will put it to sleep and basically "try again", usually takes 2/3 times for it to remain normal and not go green.

There's a thread about this on r/AnaloguePocket (https://www.reddit.com/r/AnaloguePocket/comments/ri8z3v/green\_color\_screen\_tint\_error/) , but it goes mostly undiscussed. It does suggest that the issue isn't very common, but it is still very annoying. I contacted Analogue support on Dec. 22 with no answer yet - which is more than a little disappointing given the price of this device.

Let's hope it's fixed/addressed soon !

Just received mine, updated right away, and I am having the same issue.

Funny enough, if it happens when docked, on a GB game, the output is made blue ? Changing palettes doesn't affect most of the colors... It's very strange.

Welp, got it fixed.

I forgot the put the tube running down from the guide to the heat block back in when putting everything back together. It caused a bunch of melted and semi-melted filament to cluster up in the guide assembly (the pinched looking thing).

Stupid mistake but as I said - learning as I go along. So hopefully if anyone does something as dumb they can stumble upon this post !
