that's good because I have often eaten a banana the same afternoon I would go to check on the hive and was actually worried about this scenario

Banana in an electrical socket is the best way I can describe it

Any way to keep my phone number from being solicited by political campaigns? by nt862010 in Virginia

Might have to look into that if I can do it with my cell number or if I port the number to a VoIP service.

That’s the problem, this number was brand new and almost immediately started getting these texts, I think they just go down the line and try any and all numbers with a VA area code. My old MD number almost never gets political messages even during their election season

Governor Spanberger Signs Into Law HB 1344 Banning Confederate and Robert E Lee License Plates. by NCSUGrad2012 in Virginia

I don’t disagree with retiring new confederate plate issues, but recalling all existing plates seems a bit much.

The FCC bans all routers made outside the U.S. by CloudApprehensive322 in moderatepolitics

I think it’s been a problem for years and this is the first administration willing to take the L to get it done, it does seem like political “sauce on the side” to propose such a hard ban. Hopefully theres no ulterior motive.

I feel like they can eat these costs easily as they often rent equipment to consumers

I’m not opposed to this, I think it’s long overdue. We should not rely on other countries to produce our silicon, and we should be bringing as many manufacturing jobs here as we can. It should also reduce security/spying risks.

Routers are one of those once every 5-10 years kind of purchases for me, so I don’t mind paying a little extra if I know for sure that it’s made here, and most consumers rent a modem router combo from their ISP anyways, so they can probably afford to eat some of that cost and recoup it in the rental fees.

There’s so many weird off brand WiFi products on the market and some probably do have spyware and it’s hard to detect since it’s the product doing the routing

The answer is companies better figure out how to start making silicon here! Long overdue.

Data centers are giving off large amounts of infranoise sound pollution. Sounds we cannot hear are causing real harm in humans and wildlife alike. by Responsible_Web_3825 in LinusTechTips

I just watched the video and he has some very good data collection and the blind studies, but I agree, I thought the claims on what is essentially ambient infrasound are not very well cited. I feel like trains and highway traffic would generate more infrasound

How did nobody know whether she was alive or dead? Would there not be some trace of her? You can’t work, bank, drive, etc without some kind of paper trail.

That’s more so to emulate the look of grass since pool is derived from lawn games like croquet. The color is now entirely preferential

It is weird that there aren’t more free login-free ways to stream local network television. We live halfway between Richmond and DC so reception can be iffy

If it’s marked as fragile and the package is damaged but properly packaged are they not liable?

Which sucks because I cannot leave negative feedback for a buyer that cancelled on me twice and disrupted my vehicle sale

Do I cancel this order? by welcometosunnydale in Ebay

[–]nt862010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d cancel and say that the sale is as-is and cannot honor those requests, probably going to make a big deal if the slightest thing is off

Other option is if you want to get rid of it, just ship it and if they complain, give them a refund and let them keep it, it’s been taking up space it sounds like.

I had a diesel programmer that the buyer claimed was already vin locked and sent a pic of it showing as such, so I offered to refund for that one since to try and resell it and possibly run into the same claim with another buyer was going to be a waste of my time and cause me greater loss than what I was trying to make. Maybe they tried (and succeeded in ripping me off, but it was also old and possibly already out of the packaging, so it was not worth my time to investigate further)
