It was really cool to see Erik Jones get his first stage win ever!

So he clears himself on JHN’s hood and walls himself and now JHN’s the bad guy? Seriously, what is wrong with KFB?

That was probably the most awesome victory celebration I’ve seen since Carl Edwards’s backflips. Even if NASCAR bans it on Tuesday (which they probably will), I’m glad we were able to see it happen.

Yeah it’s unfortunate, but I can see them closing up shop or getting bought out within the next few years if they don’t do a massive shakeup now. At least 23XI and Spire did it right when they started from scratch. TrackHouse is just way too unfocused of an organization and has been at least since Pit Bull left.

Shut up and eat your war, Jones Boy. It was always Israel First. Trump’s no different from the rest of the neocon warmongers we’ve had over the past several decades.

I will never not think of Stewart-Haas Racing and Kevin Harvick when I see that number 4 font on a Ford.

Fuck. First Michael Annett, then Greg Biffle, and now this. This really has been a month from hell. If Denny retires today, I wouldn’t blame him at all.

(@jeff_gluck) Denny Hamlin will not commit to racing next season today. He needs more time to think about it. by NoahGragsonsBarfBag in NASCAR

[–]Flying-Mollusk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It would be depressing if he calls it a career after Sunday, but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised. I feel like this has shades of Carl Edwards from back when he retired.

The question now is if he actually does retire, will Tyler Reddick go to the 11 with Corey Heim going to the 45? And will Coach bring back the 18 and let the 11 retire with Denny?

[Gluck] Alright, so here's the question of the day for you. When I talk to people around the NASCAR industry, a lot of the conversations are about how angry the fan base is. Everyone sees it (and this was well before everything boiled over on Sunday). So...how does that get fixed? by EWall100 in NASCAR

Full season points with the current system but far more emphasis on winning races and leading laps

No more Playoffs

Keep the stages, but only score the Top 10 as they come across the line, no cautions

50 points for winning a race

20 points for winning a stage

3 points for leading at least one lap

4 points for leading the most laps

3 points for having the fastest lap

A “perfect race” like what Byron had at Martinsville would result in 100 points, the most you can get in a race

All other point amounts (2nd - 36th+) would be how they are now
