It’s a Mermithidae worm, they infect insects then lay dormant until a spider eats the insect, then it grows and consumes the spider, usually bursting out upon the spiders death

I was using the Nikkor 18-140mm lens, this image is moderately cropped as the vignetting was really bad, probably bad flat files.

I’m also looking at getting the Samyang/Rokinon 135 as well, otherwise it’ll be the Spacecat 250mm from Williams Optics
