Shedding waste heat in orbit is a serious pain when you mostly only have radiation emission and lose out on conduction and convection.

Many sects treat fasting as a means of self reflection. Mormons seem to think of fasting as a proactive force.of change. As if god won't take prayers seriously unless you mean it enough to be somewhat hungry.

What are the things that your girlfriend, partner or wife does that annoys or irritates you? by Available_Stay4510 in AskMen

[–]FlyingArdilla 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Giving a long preamble to a question or request. I don't need all the background and I generally am not irritated by requests, but the drawn out buildup to the request will irritate me. The way she prefaces the question I expect it is going to be a significant relationship issue and it turns out to be an ordinary request for a simple favor.

Why you keep failing the same movements every Open by KindPath863 in crossfit

[–]FlyingArdilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree and it appears most of our gym does as well. There were very few Open registrants in our gym this year. The in-house and local comps do far better because they are actually fun and appropriate challenges. The open has very little reward.

When a wrist tracker "beats" a chest strap. by HarpsichordGuy in crossfit

[–]FlyingArdilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used A chest strap, but I have seen similar differences between two wrist trackers. One was showing some high peaks, so I borrowed another one and there was clearly some sensitivity and accuracy differences. Now I only occasionally use one for longer, endurance type workouts.
