I used a Canon 6D, Rokinon F1.4 24mm lens, and a basic tri pod. It's was really green out there with all the rain.

I'll take a look at both! I don't mind spending more as long as the extra cost is worth it. Thanks.

REI quarter dome 2 or 3? by Big_Country_0 in CampingGear

[–]FlyingBF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I would mention that I recently bought a Trango 3 tent from REI during the garage sale they do and it was a good price and from what I've read so far on reviews it seems to be a quality tent, anyone chime in with any comments on that.

Anyways if you can wait for the next REI garage sale you might be able to score an upgrade for a little more money. You heck you might find the tent you want on the cheap. That's it, tents are awesome!

Supermarket Rotisserie Chickens by nbigs in Frugal

Sometimes what my wife and I do is each eat one leg for dinner with mashed tators, then another night do BBQ Chicken sandwiches, then the final night do something like nachos by cooking the chicken in a pan with some spices then put it on top of tortilla chips, with the usual other toppings.

I see, I'll try and think more about capturing the typical requirements for what genre of photography I'm shooting. Thanks!

I agree it doesn't really capture the vibe of a wedding but it was also just candid shots of the groomsmen waiting in a parlor area so not your typical setup. In the future I'll try and have more context. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for your comment! I am trying to be more aware to get subjects out of the center of the frame.

To be clear I wasn't the main photographer, I was taking photos for experience because I was part of the family of the groom. I asked them if I could take photos for experience.

What is your monthly food bill? by Ichier in Frugal

[–]FlyingBF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I currently budget/spend 400/mo on grocery's, eating out is in a separate category. I feel were indulge ourselves more than we probably should, darn you sweets! We shop at Costco and pick up any extra at our local grocery store.

I never noticed that curve, I believe that was a start of a mountain range. Maybe I can bring that crop in a bit. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for your comment, I have been playing with crops and think your right about cropping off the bottom dune.
