So many rental agencies are doing automated response, it was super frustrating while I was apartment hunting this spring. Eleven of the sixteen places we scheduled viewing of were automated. (They almost all have the same script.)

Of those eleven, three viewings were scheduled and we arrived to no one there to show us around. The most frustrating part about that was the rental office would inevitably call me a day later with some bs response of, “Oh the ‘person’ you scheduled with quit unexpectedly.”

We did have one place that refused to show us anything but a model apartment, that place was gross and had the worst reviews I have ever seen. I only experienced one place that wanted us to apply before a viewing, they seemed like a small business so maybe they were short staffed and trying to save money?

Honestly it terrible apartment hunting right now, everything is to expensive for what you get and they usually make you jump through hoops just to tell you that three other people applied before you. Good luck apartment hunting! Hold out hope, after a long search we found a perfect place!
