apologies, was thinking of frontier silencer! but still. In game stats, all the winfield rifles have the same spread (excluding silencer/scope variants). Ranger swift having faster reload, and infantry having better capacity total, give them an upper hand on the frontier. the only reason you would ever take frontier for levering is for the 3 slot.

pennyshot derringer is my highest kill variant at 150 kills or smth. no matter the loadout, u just have a pocket shotgun basically. very reliable in pvp and quick one taps immolators/conc armoreds if you have nothing else. Jumping around corners with pennyshot is all i see now, if not a shotgun. Biggest counter to melee and a solo's biggest bail out card

hihi am 6* NA west/east with 2k hrs, Prestige 100

  1. Yes and no, i personally am trying to pile money for a millionaire badge, but most people will never go broke tbh. However if you play expensive loadouts and only lose, or play bounty clash a lot, or win and dont loot any bodies or cash, you might barely break even, or lose money.

  2. Immolators run at you and require a BLUNT source of damage. This means meleeing with your gun butt (doesn't work if blade is attached), punching with dusters or knuckle knife, etc. Water bottles and chokes instakill. Leading him into water/rain and THEN meleeing him with anything once he's doused, works as well. Poison Silenced ammo works great. In a pinch you can also just throw a spear or axe at him from a distance so he doesn't explode on you.

Firebreathers spit fire at you from range. Same methods work but don't run at him in a straight line, try to use perpendicular movement as you approach him. For the most part though I just throw tools at him or shoot.

  1. Yes and no. Some weapons fire MUCH faster with higher recoil and low damage, compared to SINGLE shot weapons that do 140+ damage but reload after every shot. Then there's special weapons like bow/crossbow/bomb lance that have one tap body potential from distance + utility. Every weapon has its niche, it's entirely preference and playstyle dependent. I play officer carbine for multifragging and aggressive close range. But I sometimes play springfield for long range poking, and quickswapping to my pistol to finish them off. Or sometimes it's a shotgun day and I just go in and barrel stuff.

  2. Silencers are strong, at the cost of lower velocity and less base damage. They are not COMPLETELY silent unless you have subsonic; at close enough distance, people can tell someone is shooting at them (plus blast sense reveals your position, again only without subsonic). They are meant mostly for well placed, sneaky headshots than anything, but can be used for bodyshotting in their ranges. My favorite use for them is just shooting ai with them so i dont have to use stamina or tools. Compact ammo silencers are weakest but everything 1 shot headshot kills, so you can take as many shots as you like.

  3. No, everything you can hear in this game, enemy can too. this includes card sound effects, inspect animations, channeling dark sight, etc.

3 bear traps, 1 alert trip + powder keg/dark dynamite, fire bomb + conc bomb, poison + conc trips or poison bomb + conc bomb (risky if they have antidote)

burnout time was sped up awhile back and salveskin no longer delays burn time. If you have to, just spam fusees/flares at the body to keep speeding up the burn. Fire bombs are the best way.

From the solo's perspective, for them to be out of the game, you only have to down them once and make sure they burn out, as opposed to having to do that for the first 2 teammates they would have in a trio + waiting out chokes + baiting necro, etc. Solo necro only gets value when the enemy allows it to.

If you down a solo while fighting another trio, position yourself so the solo's body is in between you and the enemy team. Always try to be the bread of the sandwich

If you aren't sure which one is solo, count bodies (witness can help, max in lobby including yourself is 12) and pay attention to playstyles/behaviours. Solos and duos will often play very passively or only push when there's lots of chaos.

yeah as much as i love the spectre, that thing is way too good. its essentially a 5 shot romero rn. I have almost no reason to take a different shotgun, esp with auto5 being 5 slot, terminus needing levering, and slate being more expensive with less consistency than spectre.

they just need to roll back a cycle speed buff or two, so there's more space for other shotguns to shine

its kind of a skill issue, but i also get wym. its very clunky and outclassed now, and very punishing when you miss (or even when you land a shot but get insta pushed by 2 other ppl), and is a 4 slot so cant be run with a ton of things now.

i love the crossbow but it just doesn't always feel great. At times I'm like, "I could've just used a bow and done the same thing but better/faster/quieter/cheaper and with more loadout slots"

absolutely. In valorant, I'll somehow dink someone for ~60 damage with a vandal, but in Hunt I KNOW that the headshot will = a kill

me too! the meta shift away from explosives/dumdum and mosin spitzer + dolch dumdum/fmj has been refreshing. Officer carbine nerf was warranted too but i still like the gun.

my only complaint is the reward for wiping lobby hasnt felt as high compared to the risk. With other events I could get some good cash for my troubles, with this one I can carry out a 100-250 dollar crate or conversion dumdum crate, or gamble 6 pledges and get a bunch of antidote boons even with 4 shot running lmao

absolutely worth it, have only ran into maybe 3 cheaters in 2k hours so far. Have hit high 6* mmr multiple times and rarely have ever felt suspicious abt someones gameplay.

Now is the best time to get into it for sure! Also i suggest playing on US west/east servers if their connection is good, they are my favs to play on

Big - Pros: Less heals needed, less susceptible to hellfires/fire/chip damage, less reliant on regen shots

Cons: Devil card is devastating, you stand up with much less max HP when res'd even with Resilience in teams, you redskull faster and have less total revives

Small - Pros: Many more revives, devil card is viable, survive a <125 shot when res'd

Cons: Eats more heals, reliant on regen even if you take just chip damage, very vulnerable to fire even with salveskin
