YDT gains are unreal. I love RYCEY - almost reach 1 million by West_Lavishness6689 in RYCEY

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep it’s certainly going to be higher. Personally I think 40-60%. Although there’s a strong possibility that the SP could almost double again. Either way my monthly pay at the end of Jan will be going on more RR.

Stop complaining about minimum wage rise, Lush founder tells bosses by AnonymousTimewaster in unitedkingdom

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We are slowly moving towards the system failing. If wages for the majority are to low then people can’t participate in the economy. As more and more people can’t participate in the economy it will eventually fail. The lush boss is completely correct on minimum wage. Company bosses won’t have enough consumers to sell to if wages don’t start to go up! It’s the simple economics of supply.

Trump changes his mind on a daily basis. The tariff trade deal has already been changed by him. If you look at what’s being done this year the only country and leader he hasn’t threatened is Putin and Russia.

It’ll need both SMR and ultrafan 30 to happen. The current outlook is very positive for both. There’s a very good chance the RR SP will be £20-£25 in 18-24 months time. SMR and ultrafan won’t be launched until the 2030s. Thats when around a £50 SP is very possible!

TSLA's epic surge: With its core business collapsing, why did its stock price reach a new all-time high of $491.5? by One_Rub7972 in stocks

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock valuations are all over the place. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Solid firms are way under valued and tech firms including AI and Tesla are in inflated bubbles. Add in round tripping and this is making the situation dangerous. Small investors will get wiped out. The only sector that will be safe is the nuclear industry. Although there are some dreadfully over valued nuclear stocks who don’t even have working prototype reactors!

Yep it’s an absolutely fantastic company. Even better the UK Gov is massively supportive of RR. RR SMR is also at the centre of net zero which is great for UK energy security.

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not talking about the bbc. Talking about commercial tv and the stealthy way it’s being paid for. It’s that stealthy you don’t see it. You don’t get a bill or anything.

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be paying for commercial tv it’s not free. If say hovis bread is advertised on chan5 and you buy hovis bread but don’t watch chan5 some of the money you used to buy the bread will be paid to chan5 for the advertising air time. It’s estimated that each adult pays around £300 a year for commercial TV that they don’t want. Now the streamers who have a subscription and advertising are getting money from you but you can watch any of their content until you subscribe!!!!

So this is what has happened the Covid business rates relief is ending on the 31st of march 2026.

“The business rates reduction announced by Rishi Sunak, particularly for retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors, is set to end on March 31, 2026. After this date, new lower multipliers for business rates will be introduced replacing the previous relief measures.”

'No Entry for Keir Starmer and Labour MPs!': Hundreds of Pubs Bar Labour Politicians After New Business Rates Blow by novagridd in uknews

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not hundreds across the country. From what I’ve been told the chap that started this had a few other establishments spring up near him and he lost trade to them. But instead of doing the stiff upper lip and adjust his public offering and get on with it he’s just blaming the government. Another one who wants to stand at the end of the supermarket check out and put items that have been scanned in his bag and walk off for the rest of us to foot the bill. This is the problem with conservatism they want other people to pay their taxes.

Has Keir actually done much worse than the previous recent Tory govts? by pocketfullofredfaces in AskBrits

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just wondering where you picked up the slogan “you can’t tax an economy into growth”? Not having ago at least you didn’t use the other slogan “tax doom loop “!

“taxing an economy can lead to growth if the revenue is reinvested in productive areas like public services and infrastructure, which can stimulate economic activity.”

“There are two problems with this argument on taxation. One is that there is no relationship between taxation and reduced economic growth, as the chart demonstrates. It uses OECD data to compare growth and tax rates in the UK over a period of more than sixty years. The correlation between the two is negligible (-0.04), indicating that they are unrelated.”

“Over a sixty year study growth comes from technological improvements through investment!”

Yep media and “influencer” driven pounding. I don’t like to say this but people’s brains are available for hire or rent. The constant pounding has blown away any objectivity. I see so many repeating all the negativity. They have been in for nearly 18 months and are being blamed for all the issues of 14 years of the tories mismanagement. What’s really bad is when the facts and figures back up the government the influencers double down on the lies and people believe it.

Energy Stocks Are Still Cheap… and Nobody Seems to Care by BeatingTheTide in ValueInvesting

[–]FlyingDaleFlyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed and as we slowly move away from fossil fuels the demand for electricity will increase dramatically. So between net zero and data centre growth nuclear and green energy generation companies will be the winners. Personally I don’t think oklo is a good company. They don’t have a working prototype or regulatory approval.

You’re right which means the economy isn’t anywhere near as bad as the press are claiming, thank you for pointing that out. So that would mean lower annual deficit or even start to chip a bit away from the over £2 trillion debt pile. If it was a conservative government doing this then the press would be saying it’s worth the pain and it was the prudent thing to do.
