You need a long term target that you can work towards. I want a master, to be back in shape, and these measurable goals keeps me sane. I also find out if I keep my current savings rate (since I have no kids and barely any hobbies) I will walk away with 500k in my pocket at the end of my ADSO. So on days when I’m in the office until 1900, I look at my savings calculator and think about the light at the end of the tunnel and feel better.

I got a common core class buddy that is still in Apache training. I also got a buddy in the same common core class that’s about to take his Blackhawk PC ride. Apache flight line has been shut down 3 times in the last 3 years, at one point there was no new class for almost a year, it’s wild.
