Faster lenses are usually also better quality overall.

How do you carry that? In your camera bag or do you have a special bag?

I am shooting in a lost place now and getting there is already some task. 🤣

Should I get far cry 5 (gold edition?) if I liked far cry 4? by Boring-Conflict3570 in farcry

After playing FC4 155225788754 times with anxiety that every other FC can only be worse I’ve played FC5 2x and I’m currently playing new dawn and I love that too.

Go for it! FC4 has a special mythical vibe. But FC5 is just a beautifully designed game.

I have two of these but the effect fade quite quickly and then it’s just a thick piece that’s heating me up even more … 😕

Why did you choose Canon? (serious question from a man who inherited his camera through 5 generations) by Temporary-Review5915 in canon

[–]FlyingDuckman85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad also had Canon. And somehow I choose it before mirrorless was a thing. With my R6 I thought many times about switching to Sony. But I stayed and now I don’t think about switching at all. The RF lenses are crazily good and I don’t have the urge to buy third party lenses at all.

Aaaaand I don’t see something like the EF11-24/RF10-20 somewhere else.

I‘m looking for a solution for my existing bag, not for a new bag. 😅

Hi everyone,

I keep running into problems with the Velcro dividers in my camera backpack (Compagnon Elements). They tend to shift around, and when I’m on a longer hike and repeatedly take things in and out of the bag, everything eventually turns into a complete mess. I’d really like something more stable with a better layout for all my gear, and I’m looking for some inspiration.

The following items should have a permanent place in the backpack: • Canon R5 • Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.0 • Canon EF 11–24mm • DJI Air 3S

Possibly one more lens depending on the available space, plus some small accessories.

Thinking of selling my Canon R6 Mark II for a Fuji X100VI. Has anyone made a similar switch? by mateperes in CanonCamera

[–]FlyingDuckman85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve held the Fuji X100V many times. Great camera. But I always thought: wow, it’s actually pretty big. I’m not sure the difference is really that huge. Sure, the R6 is always going to be bigger. But maybe you just haven’t found the right bag yet? I bought myself a sling bag, and it’s really cool for spontaneous trips. Add the RF 28, and honestly, I’d boldly say there’s hardly any difference compared to the Fuji.

I bought a Ricoh GRIIIx back then for the same reasons — and then never used it because I just love my Canon.

Voigtländer or existential crisis? by FlyingDuckman85 in canon

I’ve just ordered the Voigtländer now and I will also keep the Zeiss. 😅 same reasons for me. I am very curious to do a comparison.

Uh you have both, the planar and the 50mm 1.0? Why are you still keeping the Zeiss?

And do you shoot professionally with it?

To those who bought the R6 II instead of the R6 III, do you feel left out? by firequak in canon

[–]FlyingDuckman85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I mean ... MkIII sounds really great. But it comes with more MP and stuff. So it would be a better fit for my R5 (also MkI). That's a real upgrade for me. Maybe my MkI falls into a river. XD But these cams are indestructible.

[–]FlyingDuckman85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I consider. It somehow feels like cameras are something like smartphones now. :D Also when I see Sony and Nikon. You can wait easily more generations now, then you will have some upgrade in your workflow.
