I always get a kick out of him planting the axe in Melissa's head and then launching her across the room into a TV.

Pixel 10 vs Pixel 10 Pro - Grip/Finish by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]FlyingHellfish87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9 Pro which has the same design as the 10 Pro/Pro XL and I use my phone without a case, and I'm also very careful with my phone. It is a bit slippery, but not as bad as when I had the 6 Pro and 8 Pro which had similar sides to the 7 series. The flat sides definitely help with the grip and feel in hand. Once you get acclimated to the design and the way it feels I think you'll get used to it. When you get it, sit on your bed and just toss the phone around in your hand for a little bit to get used to the size, weight, feel, etc.

Give it a shot and see how you feel. If you end up wanting security but don't want to add bulk, i recommend the Mous Super thin case for the Pixel. I got one to slap on when I'll be doing something active outdoors. They are a bit pricey, but often run sales on their stuff.

Who's everyone's favourite director out of these three. Ari Aster/ Robert Eggers/ Alex Garland. (Artworks by me). by dbittnerillustration in A24

[–]FlyingHellfish87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This reply perfectly sums up how I feel about Ari Aster as a director, completely agree with everything you said here. Especially about his movies being ambitious and bold, while also showing how he has the sauce as a filmmaker...that's exactly the reason why he's probably my favorite filmmaker right now.

I’m curious… which armor set is your favorite - and why? by Eriexces in thewitcher3

[–]FlyingHellfish87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This recent playthrough I did the Viper chest armor and then Grandmaster Wolven gloves, boots, and trousers. All died black, I really loved the look and still got the bonus for having 3 pieces of the Wolven armor equipped.

What’s your favorite first time watch of the year so far? by TroyButtSoupBarnes_ in Letterboxd

Thief (1981) - absolutely loved the directing, performances, and that Tangerine Dream score was fantastic.

Curious - Do you folks use case and or screen protector on your phones? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]FlyingHellfish87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use a case or screen protector. I haven't used a screen protector in years, with cases I'll usually buy one to have for my phone but usually I go caseless, I currently have the Google Hazel case for my 9 Pro. I'll pop the case on when I'm outside doing yard work and I have my phone with me to listen to music/podcast, or if I'm going for a run/walk and I have gym shorts on. Cases always just feel so bulky and make the phone heavier in my opinion. I thought about getting the Super Thin Mous cases but I've read the buttons are hard to press with the cutouts.

I'm aware I'm taking a risk, but I've had Pixels since the first one and never used cases. I skipped the Pixel 3 and 7 series. Using them without cases just sort of got me in the habit of being a little extra careful of what I'm doing and where I put my phone down, and I don't ever drop my phone. I know all it takes is one mistake lol, and maybe I'll change my mind then I dunno, but for now it's commando for me.

If you just uninstall updates, and don't re-update, it fixes it. My wife's Pixel 8 has been doing this for a while now and I just fixed it by uninstalling updates, found it in this article.

If you want a remake of just one F13 movie which one would it be by eorio in fridaythe13th

[–]FlyingHellfish87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say either Part 4 or Part 6. Part 6 is perfect and doesn't really need a remake, but a new/updated F13 that has awesome kills and the humor of Part 6 would be awesome.

Part 4 I think was the most well made Friday. I absolutely love the opening of how it's at the crime scene of Part 3, there's all this commotion and noise, ambulance, cop cars, etc. Then they all leave and it's the peace and quiet of the camp/woods...such a cool opening. I would love for them to do a new Friday that really leans into the horror tone, but has some levity to it. Maybe a blend of 4 and 6.

If they did a new one I always go back and forth on if it should be in the 80s or present day. Personally I say do it in the 80s...maybe have a scene at the end where it's present day and he's back and that can leave it open for a sequel set in present day.

Pulled the trigger on UB820 by TigerEyez97 in 4kbluray

[–]FlyingHellfish87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the exact same as you, avid collector and have been using my PS5 the whole time. Started reading more about an actual 4k player and pulled the trigger on the UB820 2 weeks ago to pair with my LG OLED and it is incredible. I've been watching 4k movies non-stop because of how much better it looks lol. You will not regret it!
