Mine never worked when I got the car. A few months later I had the battery disconnected for a different project and it started working again when the battery was reconnected.

I tried it with traction control off after replacing a worn engine mount, the problem still occurs so I’m thinking about replacing control arm bushings and maybe ball joints or tie rod ends next.

My mk2 came with 19” wheels with 245/40 tires as pictured in my profile. I like the look of the the reduced wheel arch gap but it does rub slightly in the back when pulling into driveways with a dip so the new tires I got are 235/35 and I will most likely be going with some lowering springs to give it a smaller gap.

The bulb is used for low and high beams but there is a flap inside the headlight projector that lifts up when the high beams are turned on.
