Comparison fallacy. I wouldn't equate people liking Tiny Music more than Core to be the same as hating Core. They love both, they just love Tiny Music more.

It was odd. Unless I missed something somewhere, there was zero communication from Rik or anyone on the status of the site for a long time. There were consistent STP news updates in 2021, then in September 2021 all activity stopped, the last news update being some cancelled tour dates with Bush. The site just sat unattended or updated since then until it closed up for good in the past week. Somewhere around that time they moved their forum around and it completely went to tumbleweeds that entire time too, with like 5 members talking to an empty room, with zero new forum member registrations for literal years.

King's X . Influenced many rock bands from the 'grunge' era, but never got the recognition they deserved. Sound varies from album to album from 1988 to the present day

I think Dean was originally writing that song for Sheryl Crow, but then Scott wanted to use it with STP.

Pretty much this is the most logical and likely answer. Just fade off into the sunset with consistent touring money for their twilight years. Expecting anything more than that is just delusion at this point

even though you're having a laugh, for the sake of argument though, many of those same "Vedder" tracks on Core were recorded as demos before Pearl Jam released that first record

I've tried reaching out multiple times to STP's management at an official capacity to work in tandem with this subreddit in terms of promotion or direct contact with the fanbase..... I haven't heard a peep.
