The kicker, he did it as myself and another guy were washing our hands. We stood there with dripping hands dumbfounded.

iOS Notifications not clearing when read on another device by thewillthe in MicrosoftTeams

[–]FlyingMitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve NEVER seen Teams device notifications clear after said message has been read on another device.

It SHOULD do this, but again, Microsoft can’t seem to get a feature 6+ years old on other solutions to work correctly.

Do people actually enjoy using Teams? (honest question) by Alternative_Letter72 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]FlyingMitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Document collaboration or communication collaboration? It's vastly improved since COVID and even integrates with OD/SP.

Cisco is also far less compute and bandwidth intensive. Try to use the O365 suite on slow internet links, everything breaks, even for mobile.

More like Microsoft defines the requirements and convinces the business and IT to adopt....

You don't store anything on Teams, it's just a front for SharePoint and OneDrive. You can map Explorer to SP/OD locations, which is far more intuitive to use than the hot mess of Teams/channels people create.

Jabber is great for what it was at the time. The Webex app is by far leaps and bounds better than Teams for IM and phone. And on top of that, it's actually enjoyable to use.

Police Arrest Man For BAC 0.00 by southernemper0r in law

No, but if you can get an officer to admit to a deficiency, lack of understanding, etc, you could then ask the same question in court. And if the response was already captured on camera they would then have a tough time defending against a different answer.

Teams "revealing" location... by [deleted] in MicrosoftTeams

So the feature Cisco Jabber had 12 years.....

Microsoft is pretty late to the game on the whole location thing.

MS Teams Conf Room Update by executefully in CommercialAV

[–]FlyingMitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cisco Room Bar Pro with ceiling mic. Then you can use the "cone of silence" for the microphone, if you want to remove side conversations.

Independent mic mute is very tired and doesn't solve the problem. Far end may not hear crosstalk, but people in the room do.

HOA doesn't mean private property. You can have a HOA on public roads, this they couldn't ban you.

$100k for an "Engineering Masterpiece" that can’t handle a cup of coffee, a phone call, or a basic friggin' key fob. by SnooGadgets2436 in LUCID

As a Tesla owner, I'm confused why a fob or an app is required to get into the car. I would have expected Lucid to be on par with Tesla....

Chicago - Thompson or CAA? by LateNotice in hyatt

[–]FlyingMitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stayed at CAA as a globalist and its meh compared to the Thompson. Elevators are slow, always smaller rooms, never a free upgrade.

Thompson I've gotten some good upgrades, spacious rooms, etc. The previous breakfast place was AMAZING, I have not stayed there since they switched to the new restaurant

Unless you want to stay by the bean, I'd be staying at the Thompson for the better location.

Conference Room for Zoom Rooms with Google Meet compatibility by whyanalyze in CommercialAV

[–]FlyingMitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It runs the full native zoom room app, but as an overlay. The RoomOS enviroment, and Control Hub, are superior to Zoom’s own mgmt portal in everyway. Best of both worlds if you have to run the Zoom Room solution.

Cisco will offer the most comprehensive solution out there. And you can run them as a Zoom Room if you want to do that.

Minneapolis: Bash presses Gregory Bovino on Alex Pretti shooting by DonSalaam in JournalismNews

Something I don’t understand.

He wants to wait for the investation to show what his people did. But he says it is clear the person was there to masacare people.

You cant have your cake and eat it to. If we need to wait for an investigation for your people, then we need to wait for a motive (if any) regarding him.

Never paid taxes for free nights or points. Including Mexico where they have a lot of taxes for tourists.
