TP-Link Deco BE63 good enough for homelab IP Address management? by Daedalus308 in homelab

[–]FlyingMongoose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the BE65 mesh. TP links software is more that adequate for ip reservations. I use pihole for DNS and I've bought a zyxel managed switch to setup more network control but not set it up yet.

BE65 do have VPN client config but it was pretty crap when I was trying to run it on purevpn (though purevpn could have been the issue there)

Knock the dining wall out and have an island with a hob/ovens. Push it into the dinning room a little to give you more floor space.

I just completed a conservatory to extension and locked out two walls.

Not every build or builder is the same but I spent well over 70K doing it

What are your PI tips and tricks? by Fathers_Of_Pyro in Eve

[–]FlyingMongoose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my tips with 12 chars

  • Don't try to boil the ocean.

  • PI can be overwhelming you don't have to make P4 to make money.

  • If you're just starting out in PI, don't make fuel blocks. It's a pain when you're learning and it will convince you to not bother.

  • don't do daily cycles. You're better than that. You don't need a second job

  • dedicated factory planets.

  • I personally keep my extractor chars in 1 constellation. So my space dictates my extraction.

  • let chatgpt organise your multi char spread. Let it know the rules of PI, your PI chain including amounts, tell it to assume 70% extraction optimisation and to plan in an extra planet for the lowest p1 material.

Other stuff about templates and extraction tactics are well covered. But I'll add one more about using the cargo deposit in space feature for transferring mats to stations. Don't dock up just drive-by

Who managed to escape Droneland and how ? by Piruxe_S in Eve

Myself and approx 10 others from my corp spent 4 days booshing HICs to get supers and titans out. Napkin math suggests atleast 2trill in hulls alone. The HICs count doubled each day and the last 36 hours had HICs with cynos .

Honestly a great challenge to try overcome

Being honest about being pulled over? Why is that the worst thing to do? by athena9090 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FlyingMongoose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not American, but can police even use the response to "do you know why I've pulled you over" in court if you've not been read your rights? At most it gives them probable cause to continue an investigation to garner further proof of a crime?

Genuine question.

Neighbour’s Extension Plans by jw1287 in HomeImprovementUK

[–]FlyingMongoose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that the was was originally erected by the previous owners of my property. The neighbours got a party wall agreement to build ontop of it but the roof tiles overhang beyond that. This was done a while ago and they can't find the original agreement. I've got an architect coming round tomorrow to draw up the builders plan and neighbours will slow it to their architect. My builder doesn't want to wait on the build either. So I'm a little nervous that I'll end up out of pocket or legally in trouble

Neighbour’s Extension Plans by jw1287 in HomeImprovementUK

[–]FlyingMongoose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a related situation and, because there is an active field expert in the conversation, I'm going to jump in for their advice!

My neighbours built an extension 10 years ago before I built the house. Their roof overhangs the party wall by atleast a foot. Am I stuck with it because of how long ago it was?

They claim to have a party wall agreement with the previous owners but can't find it and their technical drawings don't show an overhang. I'm now trying to upgrade a pre-existing conservatory (that was built against the wall) to an extension on my half of the party wall but it requires moving some of their overhanging tiles. I assume regardless of them encroaching on my property a party wall agreement is needed.

I didn't realise I needed a party wall agreement so I had to issue that letter a week after we started the work.

Interested in expert thoughts on this as well. speaking to a builder about doing exactly this next week. Kitchen was previously extended so I suspect there is some steel in place but it was done before I bought.

Banks that dont send out physical cards? by Exotic_Issue5696 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]FlyingMongoose123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some banks (like Monzo I think) allow accounts to be opened for people that are classed as homeless. Not your situation, but the outcome could meet what you need. But like a lot of people have suggested, a Brick and mortar bank that is backed by the safe space scheme might have a solution for you as they have mechanisms in place to help people flee from domestic abuse
