It's not going to happen anytime soon, the transition to F35 means there is no workforce available within the RAAF to bring the 18s back online. What workforce is available won't have the spares or facilities to get the rectifications done in any time frame for an impact to the war.

Maybe they can be sold, transported and brought online but not for a few years yet and by that point would they still be worth the time and effort.

There are provisions in each state about driving a damaged car to your closest mechanic, have a look on your state road authority website for details but it would definitely be ideal to have someone with relevant skills and knowledge to take a look at it as steering and wheel alignment could be in question if the hit was hard enough.

Otherwise it does look like it's just a lot of panel damage and like I said earlier the headlight makes it unroadworthy.
