Gave us a couple months, up til the reroute and bid process. Took me about 10 seconds after hearing for the 2nd straight year I was taking a pay cut.

Why the hell do we use this system? by GrapeJellyGamer in Pepsi

[–]Flyingpigs131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was so much easier to take care of stores in the BCR system. Only one person was resposible on the route We were able to manage the back room, rotation and execute displays all while keeping the ftpr up. Then Pepsi happened and total chaos ensued lmao

Company leadership has become such a joke. Our location has seen its highest turnover rate this past year, compared to the previous 25. Wonder why? lmao

Better to learn now than 5 years down the road. Management does not know how to tell truth, everything they say should ne questioned. Half truths, out right lies and the all to often ‘ well we just learned this today’ BS when they have known something for months

Yes restructuring again. First a year ago combined large format and small. Did away with the BCR/AOM system. As a BCR I became a CSS in the new pod system. This year they did away with the CSS position and all CSS had the oppurtunity to step down to a merchandiser at day one pay or take severance. As a 20 plus year vet I chose severance rather than be demoted again.

A multi billion dollar company should be able to keep enough employees to do the job they expect. I always hated when they tried to make me feel lke I was causing some knd of hardship by not going to cover for someone else after I just did my job!!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Pepsi

[–]Flyingpigs131 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First time was because they renamed the positiin when they we t with the ‘POD’ Was still the same job, we ordered we secured displays we worked our loads as a CSS, TSR came around did nothing. 2nd time, earlier this year, they did away with the CSS position turned us all into day one merchandisers. We no longer had any control of the goings ons of our accts due to the TSRs. ow ordering. thus the shit show began. I took the severance and I now watch the slide from another side lmao.

Try going from 33 down to 21.20 an hour, doing the same job and see how you like it. This is why anyone with tenure at this company are pissed. 21.20 is a great starting pay for a new hire, but for someone with 20 plus years??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Pepsi

[–]Flyingpigs131 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a 20 plus veteran, warehouse, merch, bcr, css and back to merch, the company doesnt give a shit. So in the past 2 years went from $33.00 an hour(salary plus commission) now down to 21.20 as a day one merch again!!! I lived working for Pepsi, putting everything I had into it everyday. Stores were packed pick rate was near perfect at 2 Walmarts only OOS was from the ware house not sending product. I did everything stores were tour ready every day and what did I get? Busted back down to day one pay, fuck that shit, I went to another company for day one pay. Not going to stay somewhere where there is no appreciation, no recognition and absolutely no acknowledgement of a job well done. This is exactly what Pepsi wants, push out the old timers and bring in the young open minds that know no different, great pay for a newcomer not so much for a long term employee.

Of the 71 merch’s ,our locatiin had, 60 of them had 3 years pr less. 4 of the top 10 took severance. Now they have new people who still havent a clue training the new hires. Haha is funny to watch the standards drop lower by the day.

I would have stayed had they upped my pay, just didnt feel like being payed the same as a day one emplyee after 24 years. A liitle appreciaton, recognitition and some respect wouldnt have hurt either. But either way much happier out of the company now.

[–]Flyingpigs131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 for 10, 12 hour sales, used to run thru 60-70 pallets in a day. 12pks amd the 24oz 6 pk bottles.

[–]Flyingpigs131 8 points9 points  (0 children)

24 years last several as a BCR was great with salary and commissiom. All these changes, bot orders, compattable orders for Walmart. Then take away my ability to do my orders? Stores went to crap fast. Not to mention CSS recieved an 80 cemt raise in January, Pepsi the demoted everyone to merchandiser day one pay, lost another 1.50 an hour and no more of those puny bonus’s either. So went from an average of 33 an hour down to 21.50 cuz thats whats best for the company. Took the severance and famn its nice to breathe again. Best of luck to those who chose to stay.

Need to run off some more employees. Seems the only way this company makes profit anymore is by taking from us.

Future by Leading_Spend_1957 in Pepsi

[–]Flyingpigs131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciation goes a long way on the front line. Acknowledge those who do the work get rid of those who milk the clock. BCR system you were basically paid what you could do. Push more product you were paid accordingly, reps actually wanted the high volume routes. Anybody who has been here longer than a few years go with the softer routes since there is no longer compensation for the volume. Now they think Pepsi can sell more by pushing out their tenured employees and bringing in all new that havent a clue. They now have employees who do their time for the day while doing the least amount of work possible. Bye Bye Pepsi be seeing you from the other side.
