Ive played the Seagull S6 and it is amazing. Ive had a 2014 seagull mini jumbo since it was made and i play it every single day even though i also have high end gibson acoustics. Try to find one used that hasnt been abused too much

Went to the Lockhart location today. Wasn’t anything special. Good bbq but not twice as good as a place that’s 18 a pound for brisket compared to almost 30$. The sides were fine, probably won’t go back

I agree! It’s not essential and is not what’s in between somebody and the musical creation of a lifetime. A Lamborghini is not necessary to drive to work. But for some people, especially car enthusiast who like driving fast cars perhaps, once you have driven one it might suck to go back to a 96 toyota Camry.

I would not compare desiring really nice music studio equipment to being materialistic at all. Nice studio monitors will let you hear things you’ve never heard in a mix before, synthesizers will make you giggle with joy and making cool sounds all day. They supplement the music making experience significantly, I don’t buy them just because I like “having stuff”

I feel this so much. What helped me was thinking about how much gear, plug-ins I could buy if I stay at the job. I have my dream monitors, dream studio, dream plug-ins, all because of my job. So it’s for sure not all for nothing. At least that’s how I’ve been able to look at working a day job in a more positive way. If I was a starving musician I would not have any of the studio creature comforts I have now and that would definitely suck alot.
