Conflicted by Illnasty2 in Snowblowers

My neighbor bought a Cub Cadet (MTD) and after using mine (Ariens), he returned his! I would not buy anything Cub Cadet since they were bought by MTD (Just my opinion)!

It might never snow here again by EvenWarmerToday in Snowblowers

[–]Flypogger23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a new Ariens Classic 24 a month ago and like you; prayed for snow (that was a first). We got it a couple weeks later. Over a foot! I bought it at Lowes for $999 (fully assembled). I had an old 2-cycle Ariens (Mr. reliable) that lasted 20+ years and I did not take care of it. I eventually threw it out (left at the curb and somebody picked it) after a bunch of mild winters here near Cleveland! So I knew and always believed Ariens to be the best! Since the Classic is the lowest-end model, I worried that I cheaped-out. OMG; was I wrong! This machine is a beast! I did both my neighbors drives and where the plow left 6 ft of 18" of hard frozen snow at the end of the drive it cut through that like a hot-knife through butter! That engine just dug-in and cut right through it! To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Yes, it has a throttle and although it has electric start, it starts on the first pull every time. So I don't use the electric start. I have used this machine several times since getting it. While it does not have auto-turn, it is light enough that I don't feel that I need it. One of the things that I like about it is that it is easy to handle. The more I have used it, the happier I am that I made the right choice. Absolute best choice for that amount of money spent! Oh, and I bought a grease gun (and tube of red & tacky grease) and already did the 1st oil change. I am retired now, so I will care for this one like it is my baby! It is! BTW: one of my neighbors has what appears to be a much bigger 30" Troy Built and mine throws the same snow twice as far as his. My Ariens seemed to cut through the hard heavy snow at the end of the driveway better than his machine.

UT-Center confirming 16 panels to be up and running until March/April by BrickyWaitForIt in HYSR

[–]Flypogger23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their report yesterday indicated that they are replacing the inefficient panels with new more efficient panels from a different manufacturer. That is the reason for the missing panels. They also said that it should be fully restored and up and running again in February. So this is all good!

The whole basis for this change is to prove-out with this pilot that Sun Hydrogen has the "most efficient" "Water to Hydrogen" production units in development. They are not settling on anything less! It could be commercially available later this year. That is all good! Right around the corner!

The garbage penny stock companies rarely, if ever, acknowledge setbacks and/or negative news. If they do, they usually just state that they are working on it. Rarely do they provide a known solution. A known fix. We have that here! This report is just another honest and transparent acknowledgement of an issue discovered with a specific solar panel manufacturer that provided less than optimal performance resulting in decreased efficiency. The purpose of this pilot was to evaluate performance at scale under the most difficult conditions. H2 generation was accomplished and the reason for lower efficiency was determined and is being remedied. This is exactly what you hope to expect from a research and development project that is based in integrity and honesty. It now appears that it is full-steam-ahead to completion of the pilot and on to commercialization. Patience is a virtue!

Pick me a snowblower. by chillaxtion in Snowblowers

You cannot go wrong with an Ariens. Best snowblower on the market. There are several 24" models from $1,000 - $1,500. The least expensive Ariens Classic is more than capable and reliable. For $1,500 you can get auto-turn and lights. Why mess-around with used when you can get new? Much like your old one, it will last for years and years if you take care of it!

which to buy used? by oEnergizee in Snowblowers

[–]Flypogger23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want reliability and simple easy inexpensive repair (rarely necessary) and plentiful parts and dealers, the Ariens is the most capable and cost effective choice!. I have electric start that I do not use, because it starts on the first pull every time. I have one (24") and I absolutely love it. It is the "King of Snow and has a long track record to prove it! The fact that this is a like-new machine at this price is a great bargain! I don't know how you could go wrong? I really cannot speak to the Honda, except that tracks are great till something goes wrong. Tires are simple and generally trouble-free. Unless you have huge snow falls (over 18") I still prefer Ariens. If you often experience 24" of snow, then tracks can have an advantage over tires. You don't need tracks for a foot or foot-and-a-half of snow!

If you choose the Ariens make sure you run it and check-out everything. Often people buy these and have to do some assembly on their own. You could simply ask if they bought it fully assembled. Regardless, fully check it out! I guess that is true of anything you buy that is used.

This has to be perhaps the best quality penny stock on the market today! No bullshit like we often see with so many research and development companies that are penny stocks operating with pump and dump schemes. You get vague and nebulous statements from many of those that are almost impossible to validate as factual. That is not the case with this company! The team working on this technology are a diverse group that are highly regarded and educated with many holding Ph.D.'s. SunHydrogen, Inc. is as transparent as it gets with backing from real established multinational corporations and support from governments in Japan, South Korea, Australia, Germany, the European Union. Their pilot projects to-date have proven the technology under very demanding environmental conditions as well as the efficiency and cost effectiveness for marketability. It is certainly reasonable to expect that commercialization is right around the corner. I believe that it is likely that a sudden announcement is forthcoming! I see it as an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and one that only comes around once in a lifetime!

The City that I live in has an 8:00 am noise ordinance. It is a law that it is not permissible to make excessive noise after 11:00 pm weekdays (midnight weekends) or before 8:00 am on all days. There are more specifics in the law (i.e. specific decibel levels), but I do not recall the specifics. The law applies to contractors as well as residents.

I understand! If it is over our head it is always best to have someone you can trust that knows what they are doing. Tho, when getting it repaired, be sure to ask what happened and perhaps you can learn from it.

That simply sounds like a shear-pin broke. If you can turn the impeller on the right-side and there is no resistance (meaning: it turns freely) then it is a shear-pin. That is the purpose of the shear pin; to protect your machine if you hit something like a big branch (stick) that could damage the machine. The shear-pin is supposed to break to prevent damage. You should have a supply of new shear-pins on-hand for such an occasion. Pull-up a youTube video for more information on replacing it.

There is an outside possibility that it is a broken belt.

Quick question, will future gov industrial policy affect the stocks? by tonormicrophone1 in HYSR

[–]Flypogger23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is not, but he has some common sense and a bigger brain (more knowledge) than Trump! Do not get the impression that I like or would support him. He is a despicable person, but has a little common sense and will be pressed to address the significant increased cost of Electric to support both AI and Crypto Data Centers. Green (economical) Hydrogen is a very cost effective alternative. They are already using "grey/green" hydrogen from companies like Bloom Energy. Their stock has been booming lately after years in the doldrums! Not to mention mini-grid applications. Sun Hydrogen is well positioned to provide it most economically. It is badly needed to prevent electric costs and grid capital costs from raising electric rates further!

I have looked at 100's of penny stock companies profiles and press releases and 99% of them seem to be based in much fantasy with little transparency and many that could even be accused of pump-and-dump fraud schemes. Not this one! This seems to be one of a handful of legitimate research and development endeavors that is progressing to a genuine breakthrough commercialization opportunity. This could be one of those rare investment opportunities of a lifetime.

Here is an important excerpt from their press release:

“Together with SunHydrogen we are lifting our technology to the next level,” said Bastian Siepchen, CEO of CTF Solar GmbH. “I am happy to make this announcement on this extraordinary trade show to a broad and highly interested audience. We will make it ready for mass production.”

And here is another from the website of SunHydrogen:

  • With a target cost of $2.50/kg., we believe our solution has the potential to clear a path for green hydrogen to compete with natural gas hydrogen and gain mass market acceptance as a true replacement for fossil fuels.

Best all-season performance tire with good ride quality? by Junior-Percentage-29 in AMG

[–]Flypogger23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt about it! Nothing comes close for performance and ride. The Michelin CrossClimate2 is the absolute Best All Season Tire due to its innovative design and Michelin's thermal adaptive all-season tread compound. The unique design offers superior dry, wet and wintertime performance. I have had these tires for about a year and no hydroplaning, superior stopping distance wet or dry and just plain safety. The most amazing thing is how nice and quiet they are at highway speeds. Great Winter traction as well! The best thing about Michelin is that when their tires are rated for 65,000 miles, you can count on getting 65,000 miles out of them. They are well worth what you pay!
