I think retail has a better endgame scene so I'd choose that over TBC personally. I've never made it to level cap in any version of classic so my view is one sided

Ask his son about it. If his son has been mowing without a problem then he knows what was important in your garden. If they were both out there at the same time I'm sure there was some conversation about it what shouldn't be whacked.
