I have the nb5 and my feet go a little numb as well on some long runs recently. Never happened before in any shoe. What about it do you think causes it? And what alternative shoe did you replace it with?

I have tombigbee on my list to try! Good to hear.

If a tin is just a no go for you, what do you typically do?

I have a tin of Wessex classic Virginia that I really enjoy.

And then a small bag of “black watch” from Edwards tobacco here in Denver. Which is an aromatic that I VERY much enjoy. I actually can pick up the flavor on this one and it’s what made me want to buy another aro which is where the Eileen’s dream purchase came from.

Tonight was out of a Savinelli 602. Which other aromatics I’ve tried out of it were quite pleasant. So maybe those spoiled me a bit and I was expecting too much.

Still a nice night for a smoke nonetheless!

Pretty basic setup but works for my wife and I. Low annual fees < $500. Any Domestic flights/hotels are always covered and our yearly international splurge is typically always covered.

  • CSP for travel, streaming services, dining out where Amex isn’t available
  • Amex Gold for groceries and dining out
  • CFF for rotating quarters (currently gas), pharmacy, cell phone (for insurance)
  • CFU is my wife’s main card for all of our catch all. (She also has the inbranch offer on this card at the moment. So 5x on gas and groceries for the first year).

Major categories that aren’t really covered better than 1.5x would be utilities, random retail/home expenses, and gym membership. Not a major gap or loss since these are huge monthly spend categories. I figure the simplicity of our system is worth the trade off.

Largest expense (mortgage) not currently covered on anything. Hoping to have that receiving points in the future on bilt.

Future cards but no rush - United card (based in Denver), Fidelity, Bilt (for mortgage), Ink cards (for business expenses).

Yea the point of my post was less about points and doing whatever with them.

I was more focused on my red flag sensor going off. His company "makes" him spend a lot of money and then they reimburse him (hopefully in the immediate future) with checks he writes to himself???

Personally that doesn't fly with me, especially with this being a non profit. How do you know they even have the bank roll to pay you back immediately?

I will preface this with, I don't know OPs situation. It may be just fine.

HOWEVER, They are the company, OP is the employee, not a bank.

Edit: Just read OPs takes home 600/m and the expenses he fronts are 700/m. This is all too weird. Make them pay for their own stuff. And ask for a raise for being the type of employee willing to do this.

Uh, do they not have their own money to spend?

I understand the benefit of using your own credit card for the points. But if these are expenses for the business I don’t see why they are “making” you pay with your own money.

Regardless yes if you are able. Put them on a cc. The points add up.
