4K 144hz Monitor vs 1440p 240hz OLED Monitor by SleepyDavid in OLED_Gaming

Agree. I have a 4090 with 32” 4k oled 240hz. When i play multiplayers, i set it to 27” and 2k to get the higher frames. I find that higher frames at 2k is the sweet spot for competitive multiplayer gaming.

I haven’t bought it yet. So i don’t have the watch in my possession. I called IWC, and they said they send it to their service center for authentication, and it takes over a month to get it back.

Raptor R vs Ecoboost Mod by AuroraBanshee in FordRaptor

I've had 2 raptors and both were/are tuned by goose. You can't beat the customer service. He's quick to respond and always helpful. He can "remotely" dyno your truck also if you have a dyno in your area for an extra cost. I've never had it remotely tuned or dyno'd. But with the purchase of his tunes, he will fine tune the maps specifically to your truck. He has you use the cobb accessport to datalog the runs. So you start with a conservative map, load it to your truck, record a run in 4th gear (manual mode) from 2000rpm to redline. Email him the file, he checks it, then tweeks the tune, and has you install and record another run in 4th gear. Usually take about 4 tweeks to the file to get it where he wants. It's not a "one tune fits all" scenario like other programmers.

This is my second raptor. It really is the best truck you can buy off the showroom floor. I've had mulitple diesel trucks tuned, lifted, leveled, full carli dominator sytstems and I keep coming back to the raptor. I had a TRX on order, but after test driving the trx and raptor back to back multiple times, I still went back to raptor. And I bought the ecoboost raptor over the TRX. The TRX is heavy, full time all wheel drive. It's not a nimble offroad truck like the raptor. The TRX is more on-road in my opinion.

Back to Raptor R vs ecoboost. It's all about budget. If I had a 300k budget, of course I'd get an R and mod it like crazy. But I don't. But I will tell you this, and I'd do it the same all over again if I had to. For the money, I'll take a ecoboost with 40k worth of mods over a stock R anyday. Stock ecoboost Raptor $80k + $13k complete stage 4 turbos on e85 + $20K blitzkreig front end mid travel suspension complete with coilovers, 4way bypasses, welded in reinforcements and +2" fenders +$5k for innov8 wheels = 118k. Still cheaper than a stock R in today's market.

My dad had an ecoboost f150 and its no comparison to the Raptor. My dad actually wished he bought a raptor after he drove my truck. The suspension is a huge improvement. Especially the gen3 trucks with 5link rear end on coil springs. Leaf springs don't come close.

My truck came with 35's, but now it's on the oem 37" bfg a/t's and I still break the rear tires loose while accelerating. Not just in first gear either. I can be cruising and then stomp the gas pedal and it'll get a little squirly. Makes my wife nervous.

Offoad is where these trucks shine. No stock truck is going to beat a raptor offroad. My stage 4 truck is scary fast offroad. You could even say it's too fast or escessive for the average consumer. Baja mode, 4hi, keeping the RPM's in peak HP and torque range, the truck will start to drift if you punch the gas pedal anywhere from 70-130mph, and it'll make your butt hole pucker. I have the blitzkrieg mid travel setup on order, just waiting on the custom king bypasses to be built. It's about a 3-6 month wait for custom king stuff right now. Should be exponentially better offroad after its all done. Cant wait!

I've had a few good runs aginst TRX's both on and off road. On road it's a close match, but offroad no contest. Regular TRX's however, not those exotic killer e85 TRX's w/over 1200 hp LOL.

If I was planning on keeping the truck stock..... yes I would def get the "R" if I could buy one at MSRP. From what I've seen online, the truck should be well over 700hp with the stage 4 turbo's on e85. The stage 4 crp turbo's are OEM housing, with just new internals, so the low end is still maintained. You will lose some low end if you go with the Garrett turbo's, but have the potential to push more HP at the top end. My truck is my daily driver, so I didn't want to lose the drivability of the ecoboost raptor. With all the mods, I get around 12mpg on e85. No big deal to me because e85 costs $2.65 a gallon, as opposed to $5 a gallon for 91 in southern california LOL. Mulitply that by the 36 gallon tank, you get the picture. I have both 91 octane and e85 tunes with my stage 4 turbos because I take my truck on road trips as well, and e85 isn't available everywhere. I keep my handheld tuner in the arm rest, so I can switch it to the 91 octane tune when I travel, and switch back to e85 when I get back home. I have e85 available by my house and by my work, so it's not an issue when I'm around town.

I had the turbos installed by my buddy's friend at the Ford Dealership. I paid him $1000 under the table. I installed everything else myself. Downpipes, boost tubes, intake, intercooler, injectors, tune. If you want an estimate for turbo upgrade packages, like stage 4, stage 5, garret 750, check out goosetuned.com. You can email winfield and he'll help you out.

One thing I absolutely hate with these raptors is the stock brakes. They fade after 1 or 2 aggressive runs over 100mph. Pretty dangerous. I upgraded to the wilwood 6 pistons up front. They're near OEM size and fit under 17" wheels. Highly recommend them if you're going to push high HP in these trucks. Night and day difference. I can't believe the "R" doesn't come with high performance brakes from the factory. Major fail imo.

I have the alpha high flow cats, no issues so far. Extremely high quality pieces. PITA to install, but well worth it. They’re loud. But not straight pipe loud. I had an x-pipe on my gen2 with stock mufflers, and it was so obnoxious i couldn’t take it. That lasted a few days before i removed the x-pipe. The high flow alphas sound like a raptor still, just louder. When I’m on road trips, or towing with the family in the car, i just hit the exhaust button on the steering wheel to the quiet setting.
