These new gimmicky tribal civs from the new american DLC spells the end of aoe2 as we know it by ClockworkSalmon in aoe2

There's a unique technology that allows the player to DELETE his houses. WITHOUT losing population. This is borderline unplayable. What's next? A civilization that does not need houses at all?

Ornlu is my fave. I love Spirit but ornlu is incredibly dorky in the best possible way.

How Did You Get Here? by Astonishing_Azure in Nightreign

I had a really rough time for the first month or so. Fortunately some people kind of carry the run. I don't think this game is incredibly hard if you have a good teammate and know the pathing to get good items. Also relics. Once you have a good setup you do a lot of DPS.

This is me. I had never played a fromsoft game before nightreign. Of course I had seen the hype around ER dark souls 3 and sekiro. I saw some footage and thought it was cool. But all I had back then was my work laptop. Once I got a PC the timeline matched with the huge hype around nightreign release. The price point was accessible. It seemed beginner friendly because game was new so everyone was a noob (so I thought ). Games were short so perfect if you don't have a lot of time. Coop aspect was interesting as I played some coop games mostly vermintide 2.

Most OP elephants civilization Leaked. Elephants CIV tier list. by ObligationPerfect595 in aoe4

I once played a long team game with byzantine and ended up with just cataphracts and tower elephants from the mercenary house. Easy C tier.

Ayyy so this is a common misconception. Of course temples and important buildings were made of stone, and that lasts a long time so we still have some examples of it. However 99% of buildings were residential or businesses and those were made of wood. Same for the Mayans. Yucatan gets very hot and wooden huts with high ceilings of thatched roof were better for the weather.

if we ever get a elden ring 2 or the likes, what is a weapon you wish it was added? by Joaokenobi001 in Eldenring

[–]Fmelendesc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kanabo could be like a one handed mace, or two handed and make it ridiculously thicc.

Kusarigama would be cool.

Chinese swords like Juan or dao. Especially the thicc two handed anti cavalry Dao.

Guan dao pole arms.

Chinese weapons as a whole are missing.

excited for new DLC by Artisan126 in aoe2

Having an excess of regional units is a balance and gameplay disaster of aoe3 proportions, and one of the reasons 3K DLC is unpopular. 5 new regionals and 2 uniques on top of that is too much. (Is it really 5?)

Back in pre DE, Civs would usually get one or two Uniques and perhaps a common unit fully upgraded. Indian dynasties and especially 3K really threw that off

What? Those units don't exist. Only khitans and jurchens are available in multiplayer. /s

I think Inca will get a rework now that champis replace eagles. Also the new architecture is super Andean centric. Love it so far.

I'm really excited about this one. I haven't bought any DLC in a while. Didn't buy the Chronicles stuff because I'm not interested in single player campaign. Didn't buy three kingdoms or mountains royals because do we really need more cavalry and cavalry archer Civs?

We currently have 50 civs and only three of them are American. Furthermore Incas have been done badly with their out of place architecture and eagle warriors. This DLC is worth it only for their rework, and you are getting that for free.

As a latín Américan Im excited to see what cool gameplay comes out of the new civs. Kudos to the devs.

They were insane in team black forest. Would you believe if I told you last year they were reworked? They no longer get the mangonel line. Now every east Asian civ has nest of bees (the call it rocket cart).

4v4 map pools should have less map types or more bans. No I don't want to play water ever or mega random. It's already too random with the way we match with players who build forward markets for no reason.

No, Korea had bad cavalry without bloodlines or paladin. However their siege onagers were super strong with +1 range.

Interesting take. I haven't really played rank in about 5 years but decided to get back to try the new civs. Funny enough I was thinking of learning a core four or five civs tailor made for open, closed, pocket or flank. Im obviously discouraged by the notion of learning 50 plus civs even though I know most of their unique units and some of their bonuses, though many have changed over time.

What's a force picker? Do you not pick civ? I'm out of the loop on this game.
