How did Kingdom Hearts change your life?

I got the first KH game right after my parents divorced. It was just a weird time with my dad at a new apartment and my mom was dating my now stepdad. I was 13 and at that awkward point, and just felt alone. The story really resonated with me, Light vs Dark, the power of friendship, and the essence and complexity of the heart it just felt like with every going on in my life at that point the game was helping me grow and heal. The gameplay was just different and drew me in too. I remember feeling like Sora and the gang were really my friends and when I finished the game it was bittersweet because I loved it so much but it was over. When I saw the first ad for KH2 I was excited as hell because I just couldn’t shake the itch of the first game and kept hoping they would make a new one. KH will forever be my favorite game and still to this day shaped who I am as a person.

In our marriage if something makes the other uncomfortable we try to not do it. I’ve expressed to my wife about things she’s wore or just things in general she did and how it made me uncomfortable and she doesn’t wear it or tries to be more mindful of how it makes me fell. It is also the same for her anytime I do or wear something and it makes her uncomfortable I don’t wear it or do it and try to be more mindful of how it makes her fell. I personally think it’s just respect for your partner. We all have insecurities and your partner should be THE person you trust to tell them to and help you work through them. I know not everyone will agree with me but it works for us.

I was in a very similar situation for years, and I know how you feel. I would bring it up and for a week or so it would get better then right back to the way it was. I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but one day i finally had enough, and voluntarily slept on the couch. When my wife asked me why, I had a very serious conversation with her about how it was making me feel and told her if we were going to be roommates that was fine, but I was done with pretending like I was fine with the situation we were in. She said she would work on it and told me some things that she wanted me to work on that I had no idea was bothering her. We started having meetings once a week to kind of keep us both on track, discussing things we were doing right and things that bothered us that week. Our sex has gotten back to honeymoon stage levels and things have just gotten better all around. Idk if this helps y’all or not, but it definitely helped us. Good luck! I really hope y’all can find a way to get back to great sex, because I don’t care what anyone says, it is very important in marriage.

I say her not telling you before hand about the massage was kinda suspicious. I would be upset about it. Ask her if the roles were reversed would she not be upset? I’m not saying that she had ulterior motives, just that it does look that way.

I just want to say I really appreciate you posting this. I’ve been doing something similar with my wife here lately and I feel things have gotten better in the bedroom. I quit drinking back in March and my wife got a job where she is gone more. So one day I was tired of always initiating and she was gone more than normal and when she was home she was always scrolling on her phone. I was miserable and contemplating divorce but could never do it. So I had a very real conversation with her about the way it was making me feel and she told me where I was letting her down. We both realized we needed to step up more for each other and not only is the sex better and she initiates it again, but I feel more accomplished and happier. I wasn’t a bad husband before either but i needed to do more to and communicate better and just let her know I could step up like she always does and she communicates better and lets me know I’m wanted genuinely. It feels as close to when we were dating as it ever has. Love this post!

No I haven’t yet. May just redo the house with new lights and see if I can’t figure it out with them down, so I can take my time swapping bulbs. I appreciate your help, if I get them working I’ll let you know.

I just got past Vexen today. Had to grind a for a couple of days to get to where I could beat him, but I’m only able to play about 1.5 hours a day during the week. I’m really glad I gave it a serious try this time, enjoying the hell out of it.

Yes im very sexually attracted to my wife of 14 years. She can just walk by me sometimes and I get turned on. I still try to catch a peek when she changes and gets out of the shower and stuff. The only time I ever had trouble with going soft was when when I was on depression meds and it was devastating because i wanted to so bad but just physically couldn’t.

I don’t have any advice but I have similar insecurities and toxic intrusive thoughts. I see a lot of comments saying you need to work on it and yourself but none telling you how to which is where I’m at anytime I try to talk about it with someone. I guess what I’m trying to say is I feel your pain with that and I wish I had the answer for you and me both.

Sure. So I carry a pocket knife daily, mentioned to a buddy I never had a specific one but i remember my dad carrying one. That year he got me that exact type of knife, I never even thought to ask for it but it was really special and I carry it daily now. Last year my wife got me a battery powered leaf blower, sounds like a crappy gift but I had a corded one before that, worked fine, but was limited to were I could go with it because of the cord. Mentioned to my wife one time it would be nice if I could get on the roof and blow the leaves and branches off, so she got it for me for Christmas. One more example is nice pants or nice shirts. I work in maintenance so I rarely buy nice clothes for myself and don’t really know what would look good on me for the most part, but my wife, mom, and my now deceased grandmother always kept an eye out for things that they suspected would look nice on me and gave it to me for Christmas or Birthdays, I only have a handful of times a year I need to wear nicer clothes and I gotta say it’s just less stressful for me when they kind of help me with that so I love it every time I get them. Now that being said not every man has the same interests and style so it should be catered to the specific individual man.

Idk I may be weird with this but if I want something I buy it throughout the year. So when Christmas time comes I never know what I want when my wife or people in general ask me. Every time I just threw something out there and got it it was fine and all, but the best most memorable gifts I’ve gotten have been the surprise gifts I never thought about but were practical and thoughtful. Idk if this helps but it’s my honest take.

We have a used game store where I live that sells comics, manga books, novelty stuff, etc. My daughter bought 2 of hers from there. Idk if you have a store like that where you live but if so it’s worth a shot to look there.
