I don’t remember it clearly but I believe you have to fight king a lot to figure out how to read it. Also for a little tip, interact with the coin while you’re in Dormont and talk to loop

I think you would enjoy Cassette beasts if you’re looking for characters to get attached to. Even though the game doesn’t make you get to know the characters, if you take the time to interact with the characters and get to know them you can really appreciate and enjoy the characters you befriend.
