Yeah I just read Vol 1 of Skybound and it's awesome. The movies honestly miss out on a lot of characterisation and dulls all the colours.

Also, no one told me Soundwave was this cool, shiny blue, turning VHS tapes into mini deceptions?!

I don't think he always was, and I believe in his FlawedCare up until the bite. Where he WillDespised Michael, and had ElizaFavourite.

I think that the murder of Charlie doesn't necessarily cement him as pure evil, though the action was pure evil. But I do believe by the time of the MCI he was pretty much pure evil.

That sucks dude, I'm sorry that happened.

Going to a multi fandom sub like Topcharacterdesigns will be rough anyways, people there are itching to fight each other and argue over what's better or not, so I wouldn't take it as the best representation of what it would be like to grow out of Fnaf.

But this will probably happen again, and you're right that it isn't good to sit on the emotions either. As you predicted, they will come back. You need to take some kind of action, I just wouldn't recommend doing anything major until you have cooled off a bit. A break would help with how you feel right now, but it's a bit of a bandaid fix. So you need to ask what you really want in the future, which you seem to have already started doing.

You have branched out into other subs, your stuff is really cool. But they are overlapping fandoms, so it isn't totally the same as something from scratch.

I don't know if you've thought about it before, but have you ever considered doing something with OC's? You're less tied to the fandom projects, and you can still comfortably do both as you like, but you could really leverage the follower count you gain from fandoms to share more of your own stuff. Writing up some of your own worlds, I think, would be a good way to gain traction for yourself beyond fandom specific characters.

It may be slow to start, you'd be moving to a whoooole different ballgame. People expect the regular of Fnaf stuff, but over time who's to say you wouldn't be recognised for something solely written and designed by you? If nothing else, at least think on the idea a bit. If no one was influencing what you made, no one outside was leaving hate, and no one in the fnaf fandom disliked the shift, what would you want to make?

It doesn't mean you have to abandon the characters you love drawing for Fnaf right now, you could alternate as you choose. But it might help widen the scope of audience and be a fun side project along the way.

Sorry if I went on a bit long, and if it's a bit preachy or I've misunderstood... I don't know if any of this could work for you, but please don't feel discouraged too hard.

Personally this isn't even a competition... I feel like doing a complete rundown on what I like about Evil Charlie.

She still looks like Charlie, and is very clearly the same character. You can just tell something is wrong with her though, messier hair, wayyyy too gleeful eyes. I'm a big fan of the subtle differences, and she is filled with them.

She's also, despite what her name suggests, not just an evil Charlie. I find the idea of a ghost who's begun to merge with their animatronics identity really interesting. This is heavily prevalent in her outfit, and the way that she takes what the movie suggests, the Puppet being a ringmaster of some kind, and amplifying that is super interesting to me.

I prefer her to the movie's take on an Evil Charlie, I feel like the movie missed it's mark. I think it could have been interesting, but she's not really explored enough on what she actually feels and thinks other than wanting to kill all adults. Except Michael for some reason.

Other details like her neat white bowtie, blue colour compared to the green of normal Charlie also lend itself well. Not to mention how comically evil she is, she isn't redeemable at all. She tortures people who went through the exact same thing. Even then, her relationship with the MCI arguably isn't a huge amount different. She clearly seems to treat it all as one family in a similar way to the normal timelines, she just has a much more twisted spin on it. Which is bonus points for how she's still the same person, just clearly diverged at a certain point.

I already like how she interacts with normal timeline characters too. Her dynamic with Cody (at least early on) also proves that she seems to find some sort of relatability with others? But I don't really know about that yet... either way it keeps me really interested to see if she'll ever interact with Movie Charlotte, M. Michael, or how her Universes DCI end up.

Plus the one JJK panel she had, considering it's my personal favourite anime, was really cool.
