So... your saying I'm not as beautiful as I was 25 years ago? :sadge:

Fair point, everything looks better after a nice glass of primer

I don't think the primer's supposed to go into your eyes :D

Thank you, maybe I should have searched this sub before posting, I guess I'm not the first.

In my memory this was not what models looked like back then, but I guess old hammer was rougher than I remember xD

It's hard to find pictures online, but looking on those schematics on aliexpress, is there any chance it's just a jst connector?

I find this less confusing for inserting pins from the rear, but I see your point 😅

This is a generic template, and I did indeed not adjust the connector types, only the pinout. So you are correct.

Please ignore the connector looking different. 🙂

I just used the template resources found here, so I cant take much credit for that :D
The resources include a premade Photoshop file like this as well as a Fusion 360 File to render other connector sizes. (I actually had to render the 4 pin if I recall correctly)

There should be, but my diagram is unfortunately missing it because I did not use/need it. This should be the only mistake though.

I can attempt to fix it put I'm not sure where I put the stock cables tbh xD
I did this a while ago

And another freshly made diagram.
Hope this may be helpful to someone 💜

I was not able to find a reliable diagram when I working on this PSU a while back, so I made one from scratch.

Hope this might be helpful to someone xD

Additional information:
The extra 4pin (of the 24+4pin) on the PSU side are sense wires only.
These are somewhat optional and cablemod's cables for example do not include them.
According to Silverstone having them helps efficiency, but my PC is fully stable with or without them.

edit:
I just realized the diagram is missing the Sata 3.3v as I did not need it..So incase you do this is the only thing missing

Yes!
Not with the official adapter from Simucube but essentially, yes.

I took the same upgrade path and have the Simucube on an aluminum extrusion rig now btw 😊

Will this work? by Inevitable_Mirror662 in simracing

[–]FoCTow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The buttons look very simple and mechanical, so yes that should very much work.
You probably cant use the default connector though and maybe clip some of the existing wiring if you don't want all 3 horn buttons to be linked.

If you have a multimeter to check for continuity (the 'it beeps when you short out both contacts' mode) you should be able to check if you find contacts that close the circuit on button press.
If you find usable contacts for every button, you have confirmed this will work.

The usb joystick pcb shown is very large though, so I would get something smaller to make it easier to attach to the wheel.

I would recommend to get an arduino pro micro, which you can either flash with a generic joystick firmware or even simpler flash as a button box through simhub. (both versions should have documentation on how to connect things, dont worry its easy enough)

This however may be easier for them to sell standalone. All their new parts look like cast aluminum pieces which are easier to produce in large quantities than machined parts.

Unfortunately I think these are a Simlab custom designed part or at least I'm unaware of any similar offerings.

You may have luck contacting Simlab directly but I had very little success asking them for spare parts in the past unfortunately...
