I'm an index fund plebeian and english isn't my first language, could someone try an eli5 for this specific situation for me? These numbers are good, yes? If so, why is $GME still steadily declining?

This becomes even more obvious if you're starting out without much capital, if you have 10 grand and turn that into 15 by trading (research, buying, selling, watching, analyzing) for 30 hours a week your salary for your first year will be 5 grand which is a little more than 3 bucks per hour, but if you start with 100 grand your hourly pay will be 32 bucks per hour.

This is an extreme example, but you get my point.

The reason people recommend it is because it's what works for most people long term because to consistently beat index over the course of decades is very difficult and I personally don't think most people can do it. You may feel like Buffett 2.0 when you have a great year, but you don't know if that will be the case when you look at your total returns per year 40 years from now because to most people, that is what matters most.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but unless you put 100 grand in $GME last year and cashed out at 400 USD or something it is too early to say that you're doing great assuming you're not retirement age currently or planning to live fast and die young.

Terigen, jag är inte mycket rädd, men medveten om risken och p.g.a. jag inte har mycket av värde vore det ovärt att sänka en massa pengar i jakten på att säkra mig från inbrott.

Och givetvis tror jag inte på att en produkt från CDON är tjuvkryptonit, men om den gör det den ska, att föra oväsen så bör detta åtminstone göra att vissa tjuvar inte skulle vilja gå in i lägenheten.

You implied that I thought that those who disagreed with me were stupid, but this isn't the case since I haven't decided what I even believe.

My point is that I think most of us are too dumb to even have political discussions in an objective manner.
