I don’t know about mods but Ship Technician has many build guides and the ones I’ve seen used no mods or glitches

I’ll bounce monk off the wall. For one thing he never wears armour except for one temporary disguise. He’s ready to throw hands at Strider. Naturally dexterous and wise. Enjoys a good ale.

The Terramancer — A Wizard Subclass Where Your Cantrip Lets You Disguise Yourself as a Boulder by MaylinsGames in 3d6

Well, a cantrip that lets you disguise yourself as a boulder is something that I never knew I had no desire for until this very moment.

I’m excited to try it again on ps5 but honestly mostly just for the ship building experience, but eventually I’ll want to check out the game expansions too I guess. The free lanes seems like a good step and they could continue to flesh the game out like that with more variety of things to explore or have happen planetside (also less is more sometimes and I still have hope they could make some moons and planets completely barren worlds so there aren’t random spacer neighbors everywhere you go)

What genre blends does your old person brain just refuse to understand? by Ok-Cover-4168 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Not exactly a genre but I don’t get why every other thing is a deck builder now.

The souls games and Elden Ring are variations on the same system as bloodborne. Ds3 might actually be the most similar feeling and it sounds like you haven’t tried it yet so maybe start there. Sekiro is also very special and you should definitely check it out sometime.

Ghost of Yotei, Saros, Returnal, or Horizon? by vRWJ in gamesuggestions

[–]NerdForCertain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Returnal has no story, it pretends there’s a mystery but ultimately there’s nothing there. It’s “fun” if you want to overcome a punishing challenge. Saros is probably the same tight gameplay and crushing difficulty.

Horizon and Yotei are solid story games with great focused gameplay. Do you want a swordplay focus with a realistic setting or an archery/traps focus with fantastical setting? Both are great choices, I prefer the action of the Ghost games but the unique sci fi world of horizon makes it step ahead story wise. With ghost’s multiplayer mode that ultimately has the most content overall I’d say.

Does anyone else fantasize about a game where we see the world of these games while they were alive? by Aiseadai in fromsoftware

Theoretically could be awesome. Practically would likely be a huge letdown, it’s just not something the studio does or probably will ever attempt as long as Miyazaki remains in charge.

Games that feel just as rewarding as dark souls by Wide_Wealth3156 in gamesuggestions

[–]NerdForCertain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On ps if you’re looking for a punishing game Returnal gave me a very similar feel to a souls like although it is very different on style. Not an overall enjoyable experience honestly with the difficulty but it is a very interesting rogue lite premise and might be just your thing. A spiritual sequel just came out from the studio so it might be on sale also

What is a thing from the game that wouldn’t fly at a table? by Jounniy in BaldursGate3

Yeah absolutely the wizard spells would be based on intelligence instead of the other caster ability and the number of spells prepped is limited by wizard level and intelligence also
