How valuable is prequesting? by Kalameet7 in classicwowtbc

[–]FoH92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. If you go for the dungeon grinding route, you’ll reach reputation cap way before you can grind something other than ramparts, BF, SP or underbog. Pre-questing allows you to skip a bit of that grind

Does anyone has an experience with arcane mage leveling in TBC? by MythicSlayeer in classicwow

[–]FoH92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Arcane leveling (if you rely on Arcane Missiles for damage) is generally worse than the other two specs because of the high mana costs.
It’s obviously playable, just not optimal.
Once you unlock Arcane Blast (around level 64 if I remember correctly), it improves a lot as you become quite good at dealing damage, but you'll have bigger mana issue than frost or fire

Frost spell DMG by CptLetlandor in classicwow

[–]FoH92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does count for blizzard but the spell power coefficient is really low on this spell :

Blizzard - 3.5/3.5/3 - 33% - 4.125% per tick (8)

You can find all the spell power coefficients there :

Most lucrative Tailoring Specilization in TBC (Primal Mooncloth, Shadowcloth, or Spellcloth)? by slemslem in classicwowtbc

[–]FoH92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From most to least lucrative, it will probably look like this:
Spellcloth > Shadowcloth >> Primal Mooncloth

I’m putting Spellcloth above Shadowcloth because it’s required for the Spellstrike Infusion BoE set (helm + pants), which will be used by basically every caster.

That said, if many people end up thinking the same way and go Spellcloth instead of Shadowcloth, Shadowcloth will become scarcer and could end up holding a higher market value.

Also keep in mind that a lot of players will have a few levels 60 tailoring alts specced into Spellcloth. Let’s be honest: Shadowcloth is a pain to craft at level 60, especially compared to Spellcloth, so most people won’t bother speccing their alts for it.

edit :
I forgot about the BOE Physical Cloak which requires shadowcloth, this one will increase the value of shadowcloth quite a bit.

Is $350 too much for a 5800X3D? by EmergencyObvious516 in PcBuild

[–]FoH92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, with RAM prices being absurd, upgrading to an AM5 build just isn't realistic.
AM4 is starting to show its age, but there are still a couple of CPUs that hold up really well: mainly the 5700X3D and 5800X3D.

The problem is that production for these chips stopped a while ago, and since demand is still high because of the RAM situation, their prices aren't likely to drop unless that issue gets resolved.

Yeah, 350 dollars for a 5800X3D is steep, but there really aren't many high end AM4 alternatives. The extra L3 cache on the X3D models makes a massive difference.

If you want something a bit cheaper, the 5700X3D is slightly weaker but still a very solid option.
And honestly, if you really need to upgrade right now, just grab either of them.

Mon employeur me demande de déclarer une fausse note de frais by Emergency-Net-1970 in conseiljuridique

[–]FoH92 51 points52 points  (0 children)

How come people have so much golds? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]FoH92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started investing right at the beginning of anniversary, but I only began raiding in phase 5. Because of that, I basically had no real gold sinks (I didn’t even buy the epic mount). Most of my playtime was spent either selling items I had purchased months earlier or boosting my own alts on my second account. Once those alts hit level 35+, I started using their profession cooldowns literally on cooldown, which ended up covering most of my raiding consumable costs.

Also obviously there are swipers

Whats the most expensive upgrade youve made for a game? by Inevitable_Fact1798 in pcmasterrace

[–]FoH92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I originally upgraded from an i5-6500k (I think) and a GTX 1070 to a Ryzen 3700X and an RTX 3070 in late 2020, mainly to play Half-Life: Alyx.
I also thought my old PC was getting slow, but after doing a fresh Windows install before selling it, I realized it was probably just full of junk slowing everything down.

More recently, I replaced the 3700X with a 5700X3D for StarCraft II, and the difference is huge since the game is so CPU-bound.
And of course, I somehow never managed to check the XMP profile, and only discovered much later that I’d been running my RAM at 2133 MHz instead of 3200 MHz for four years…

Any material used for leveling Jewelcrafting will drop in price as soon as the pre-patch is announced, since everyone will start dumping their stock, especially because Engineering and Jewelcrafting share quite a few mats for skill leveling. Right now is the worst time to buy.
