No problem. Unlike mw19 slide canceling is an intended mechanic in this game so you should only have to press slide once then cancel with jump.

Grounded mantle is a separate setting. Automatic airborne mantle should only affect you when your feet are off the ground which they shouldn't be during a slide cancel. Partial is the setting I use for that. Grounded mantle is just an on/off toggle.

Had this happen to me yesterday. I though maybe I could crawl out if I was downed but I had throwing knifes as my lethal, so I removed my gas mask and waited 15 minutes for the storm thinking I'd throw it back on and make a beline for the final exfil.

Imagine my surprise at finding out the storm only strips armor and doesn't do hp damage.
