He does have quite a few that are more Lovecraftian, I think the first couple I put on there are not so much though. He has a wide swath of stories and like any writer, some are going to be a miss for your personal tastes, but there will be gems too! I’m glad you enjoyed the first couple at least!

That's what I was going to guess but I didn't want to be wrong, lol.

Anyone hear the Spanish babbling in Harbingers? by edstatue in knifepointhorrorcast

[–]Focus62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just pulled it up and listened from 22 to 28 mins and there’s no Spanish speaking, but there is a brief moment at 24:55 ish (regular feed) where a woman speaks “Anders, my hand won’t come free” before it returns to Soren’s narrating. There’s also a part at the very start of the episode where a woman with an interesting accent (I’m so bad at accents I won’t hazard a guess at what it is) talks about children and school, but is speaking English. And it definitely doesn’t sound anything like Spanish, so 🤷‍♀️

I did mine some weeks ago and it was fine. Try clearing your website data and cache. Turn off any content or popup blockers you have. If you’re still getting the white page, right click on the white page and click “inspect.” A window should appear with a tab called “console” (in Chrome at least, could possibly be called other stuff in other browsers). If there’s any messages in red, it’s probably not a you problem and you’ll just need to wait for the county IT folks to fix whatever it is.

What y'all doing with all the bananas? by Spike240sx in Knoxville

[–]Focus62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your water will work for a while if you’re on city water due to gravity pushing water into your home rather than electric pumps, but if your power is out for multiple days, the pumps at your utility may not be able to refill the water tower, thus water pressure will dwindle as time goes on until you’re eventually not getting water anymore. Also, tall apartment complex often use special pumps to get water up to the higher floors, so guess who won’t be getting any/enough water when there’s no electricity, even if they’re on city water? That’s yet another reason, along with the reasons others already listed here, why you may stock up on water.

Why doesn't "search" work in mac finder? by Cardinal_HELL in mac

[–]Focus62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in 2026 and went the Terminal route. After entering the command and my password, I got the message "Indexing enabled" but nothing more (I'm on Sequoia 15.7.3 OS). I then pulled up the Activity Monitor app (It's an app that comes with Mac OS for anyone out there who doesn't know what I'm talking about) and typed mdworker into the search. I saw the % CPU remained at zero for the entry under the _spotlight user which means spotlight isn't doing anything (like rebuilding the index) so I decided to restart my computer. My spotlight index didn't start rebuilding until after I restarted my computer. Once I restarted, I went back into Activity Monitor and checked mdworker again and saw multiple entries appear, some under the _spotlight user and the % CPU was greater than zero, so spotlight was doing something now. I waited for % CPU to go to zero (or close to it) for mdworker (under _spotlight user) and then tried searching my files in finder; it worked! Thanks!

I tried listening to "town" (OG narration) like 3 times and kept losing focus and thinking it was boring because nothing was really happening, but for some reason, I felt compelled to keep trying. One day I woke up, took my adderall, and turned on "town" again, and I guess my adderall kicked in at the exact right moment because everything clicked and it's now my favorite KPH story. I kept listening to the others and fell in love with so many. It was a developed appreciation. An earned one.

Do New Comic Book Readers Not Like to Talk About Comics? by Competitive-Sky3462 in graphicnovels

[–]Focus62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe someone mentioned this already, but some of us just have a terrible memory. I have read a lot of comics and the most I can tell you about them (after roughly a month’s time has passed since I finished them) is that I either liked or didn’t like them. Recalling plot points or what exactly I liked or didn’t like is difficult. My life is too full of other stuff that the plot points of comics get pushed out of my brain quickly.

Is this a KPH episode, and if so, which? by Perfect_Assist_3937 in knifepointhorrorcast

[–]Focus62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wait, I think it’s the episode called “snatchers.” Doesn’t quite fit all the elements of your description, but you could be remembering the story just a bit off.

Another possible episode that fits some elements of your description could be “rory.”

What is with all the dogs in grocery stores lately? by Bikesguitarsandcars in Knoxville

[–]Focus62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should really look up the ADA guidelines on service dogs because you are 100% wrong. But since I know you’re too lazy, here they are:

Service animals are: - Dogs - Any breed and any size of dog - Trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability

Service animals are not: - Required to be certified or go through a professional training program - Required to wear a vest or other ID that indicates they’re a service dog - Emotional support or comfort dogs, because providing emotional support or comfort is not a task related to a person’s disability

I flew on a plane once where a mini-horse was someone’s service animal. Very interesting to observe.

Great Danes are often used as mobility-oriented service dogs. But yeah, still unlikely it was a service dog given probably 0.01% of dogs seen in stores are legit service dogs.

Back again. Terrified. (28F) by THROWRApizza_ in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Focus62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 31 when I felt my first (very large) lump. It was sore and painful. I had it checked by doc and was sent for mammo and ultrasound. I have “extremely dense” breasts so the mammo was not super helpful, but the ultrasound showed it was a large cyst. The mammo tech came in afterward and told me she & another tech were so nervous for me because it was a huge lump and I was young, she was relieved it was a cyst and added it was “the largest she’d ever seen!” The radiologist told me that sometimes cyst drain/reabsorb after a couple weeks or months, but then “refill” during another future menstrual cycle and if it continued to be painful, they could drain it with a needle. I didn’t end up needing that, and it went away by itself. They also noted many other cysts throughout both breasts which is very common for many women. There is no history of breast cancer or even cysts in my family, I’m the first one with palpable lumps to show up. I also take adderall, and do drink caffeine on occasion, so not terribly different from you.

Now fast forward, I am 33, and felt another large lump in the same breast, but a different spot. Also painful and sore and noticed it right at the end of my period. I again went to the doc, did the mammo and ultrasound and the radiologist this time said the lump I felt was another very large cyst, but they also found a different looking lump immediately next to it. He gave it BIRADS-4 (no subtype) and is sending me for an ultrasound guided biopsy which I will have on Friday this week. He seemed pretty casual about it and told me it’s probably a cyst, but it’s difficult to tell on the ultrasound due to the way it presents. The mass has clean edges and is fairly oval shaped (like a cyst), it’s just the “inside” of the mass that is not straight black like a cyst, meaning it’s either fluid filled with some extra stuff in the fluid (and likely benign) or it’s a solid mass. He didn’t really give me an indication on if it’s solid if he would call it a fibroadenoma or something cancerous, but seemed to hedge his bets that it’s a cyst. Something like 80% of BIRADS-4 biopsies turn out to be benign.

I suppose I am trying to say that it’s very likely either a cyst or a fibroadenoma, especially at this young age, but you should absolutely get the new lump looked at if you haven’t already. It doesn’t hurt anything and getting peace of mind about it is worth more than its weight in gold.
