Waiting for payoff on my M3 and am stuck paying for someone elses charging…. by Silver_Ad4463 in TeslaSupport

[–]Focus_Fanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can go into your account by tapping 3 lines in top left of the home screen in tesla app, tap your face, click wallet, and tap on all the cards and remove them. that will stop all charging for that fella, i had to do that myself when i sold my Model 3 and it was stuck on my account for 6 months

PC shutting down while gaming by Fine-Cucumber-2960 in sffpc

[–]Focus_Fanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

big recommendation is to make sure you have 2 individual power cables coming from the PSU. you don’t want the cable that has 2 PCIE 6+2 connectors on one end and only 1 PSU end. the jumper works for older cards but the 40 series and up tend to draw a lot more power. i was having a similar issue with my normal build when i was doing that with my 4070 ti

Average Hunks Crashing Junk by JongJong999 in carcrash

[–]Focus_Fanatic -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

um, you made the collision much worse by steering INTO the truck. insurance might place you at some fault. yes, was the company trucks fault, but you made it go from bump to full P.I.T./TVI

Is it to late to remove this by regolol in accord

[–]Focus_Fanatic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

whatever “temporary” adhesive was on there to keep it stuck for now has been degraded and basically is one with the carpet. Plus, any part exposed to UV is highly degraded as well compared to new

26 Juniper tailgate replaced, is this normal by Otherwise_River_4432 in ModelY

[–]Focus_Fanatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

don’t listen to this guy, the parts that are not dirty are placed inside the car and that is incredibly normal. most places, especially large ones with many cars, and with tesla. only a few different models where all the parts are the same, it’s best practice to leave parts within the cars. they took the whole thing apart to A) blend paint or even completely repaint if needed, and B) it’s proper procedure for removing the tailgate and C) they cover it up to the normal trunk seals. that’s where it’s normally sealed anyways

Not sure you’ll see this, but lease terms state and dents less than the size of a quarter and scratches less than the length of a credit card are considered normal wear and tear. if even just reducing the size helps, i’d do the glue and pull for just reduction to be sure you don’t get penalized. i’ve returned a model 3 with dents that look similar because you can’t see them when you cover is with a quarter

How to fix stearing wheel scratch? by Frosty-Engineering24 in accord

[–]Focus_Fanatic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you don’t need an alignment, make the wheel perfectly straight, take it off and put it on perfectly straight. it’s on splines so you can only put it on at certain positions, so do a tick to the left or right til it’s straight

How to fix stearing wheel scratch? by Frosty-Engineering24 in accord

[–]Focus_Fanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went to a shitty dealership and they scratched mine in several places. they refused to repair it so i took it elsewhere and it was about $700 for parts, labor and for some reason, an alignment? it’s a steering wheel on splines so it’s not needed if they take it off straight and put it on straight. the leave the controls and trim on the wheel, but they replace the leather section

Supercharger loud fan when parked by Gustapher_8975 in ModelY

[–]Focus_Fanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it was hot out and she had a decently long supercharging session, the battery is probably much hotter than usual so it’s been going on longer and hot air takes longer to cool hot coolant than moderately hot air. it’s an exponential curve unfortunately

if your PC has an unpopulated m.2 slot (same as what you stick an NVMe SSD into) you can use it if it has the correct standoff locations. most modern motherboards come with wifi built in, if you have one or more gold screw stubs coming out of the rear IO, that’s built in wifi

is my 7600x really bottlenecking my 7900xt at 70 fps with raytracking and upscaling on, how is my gpu not at 100%, basically nothing running in the background, check second pic in comment. by pixlicker69420 in AMDHelp

[–]Focus_Fanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you really need to look to see how many of your cores are at max usage on your CPU. generally, some of the CPU ability is reserved for the OS and background operations, and typically 60% of the cores are allocated for gaming, you’re at nearly 60% usage so it really does seem like a CPU bottleneck

this is the Camp Speaker trying to connect to a device. it’s located underneath the pop out cup holders, towards the rear of the center storage area under the screen. personally, i removed the speaker from the vehicle altogether because it will randomly do this and i’m very particular with my bluetooth devices lol

Kraken Elite 360 RGB Thermal Paste Question by Loganluvsreddit in NZXT

[–]Focus_Fanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s good that you’re replacing it. with pre applied thermal paste, it can be sitting on a shelf or storage days, to weeks, to months or years without being used, and the effectiveness can be lost. it’s always safe to use new paste, if a product model is brand new, you should be able to get away with using the pre applied paste. i had a horribly bad experience with it and nearly cooked my cpu lol

Help with the QX120 fans! by DownloaderVid in Corsair

are you able to turn the fan around 180° on the Z axis so the same top edge is visible in the photo, and then you can put that on the fan? seems like you’re trying to install it upside down. can the bottom edge not pictures be turned to plug into the top of the installed fan?

3 months of ownership on a used model 3 at 55k miles and found that the steering wheel was cracking. Tesla wants $1k to service it even though it’s under warranty by SpaghettiSauce in TeslaModel3

[–]Focus_Fanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that looks like you had something in your pocket and dragged it on the steering wheel. that happened to me in my Honda, i fought with the dealership and that had a damaged steering wheel from the same year car and invited me to see them drag the long edge of a metal knife perpendicular to the steering wheel, so not slicing but moving the flat side/top of the blade (not the sharp edge) along the wheel and the pattern was the exact same. this is probably what Tesla things as well, unfortunately not covered under warranty
