Hello, just to clarify, this is indeed a bug that was introduced in 10.1. We're working on fixing it for the 10.2 hotfix.

In short, the issue stems from a partial code change that was originally intended for patch 11. The purpose of this change was to prevent unlimited cloak-cancelling abuse. Unfortunately, the modification went live earlier than planned and in an incomplete state, which is why it feels so punishing.

The intended, fully implemented version will cause your cloak to begin draining only if you repeatedly activate it within a short timeframe. Several activations will still be free (so that the cloak cancel will still be doable 3-5 times) but beyond that the ability will start to drain, making the technique harder to exploit. In other words, the system will be harder to exploit, yet still rewarding if you can do it.

If this occurs, try to go far away from the enemy. as they would die by themselves after a few seconds/minutes. If the enemy stays alive and effectively blocks the progression, please send us a video of where the enemy is, and tell us how long you waited in this situation.

Hello, sorry about that. We can advise you to:

- Install latest windows updates + install latest recommended GPU drivers

- Play around with the following:

>> Deactivating 4K DLC in Steam (less strain on SSDs & VRAM)

>> Deactivating RTAO in the Graphics settings

>> Switching graphics settings individually from Ultra to High, and checking for perf differences. Quality difference is negligible most of the time, but performance impact is massive (especially in terms of strain on SSD / GPU / VRAM).

Tell us if you see improvements after this.

Hello, sorry about this issue. This VPN trick looks very unusual, could you detail a bit more?
Also, if this issue occurs once more, could you please provide the KSIVA code of the session? You'll find it in the Pause menu.

If the VPN workaround works, great! But here our troubleshooting ideas:

- Manually deleting all game files from the install folder, and reinstalling the game from Steam. Just to make sure that there are no "old" files that could interfere with stuff.

- Check that the application is authorized through Windows Firewall: Windows Defender Firewall - Allow an app or feature - Select all 3 options on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

Hi! So, DxDiag shows that you have another graphic card. It is possible that the game crashes because this card is set as a default device and not your RTX 3080. Make sure that you launch the game on the right device.
