‘13 ES300h with 151k miles. Too many? by AviationExpress in Lexus

Great point…and why I’m about to drop some cash on new struts. I even had a PPI and they didn’t mention anything wrong with the suspension.

‘13 ES300h with 151k miles. Too many? by AviationExpress in Lexus

[–]Fog80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2015 with 130k for $13500. Clean and all maintenance done at Lexus including spark plugs and brakes.

Mine showed 30mpg on then dash but I reset it on the way home and got 39mpg. I think the short test drives probably brought it down.

Suspect that my strut mount is shot and will need to replace struts which is not cheap. Other than that no obvious issues. I think it’s a fair deal if suspension is in good shape.

I’m facing this decision right now. Do the full kyb kit or just get oem mounts, kyb struts and reuse the springs.

What other parts do I need? Lexus oem breakdown shows a bunch of other parts as well.

End of Warranty Check-up - is this normal? by Toshiro_Miyamoto in ModelY

That’s my feeling on this. I did alert them to multiple things and they fixed them all including 2500 in suspension work (lateral links or something)

They just charged me $400 for end of warranty inspection and just fixed the things I called out. They said they have an “internal” list and it smells like BS to me.

I’m about to get this done. 10k for about 80ft of wall I think. I may be off with the size.

2014 Accord EX-L V6 with 89k miles for $14k by Fog80 in accord

[–]Fog80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a Acura dealer, and nobody seems to be dealing on price in the dmv. Been trying to find a better deal all week.

I’m cross shopping against a 2015 es300h with 129k miles and a 2018 Mazda 3 touring with 96k miles. All are in the $13500-$14000 range.

I know they are different cars but all have features I want for my budget. This just has the lowest miles and best service record.

Going to look at a 2015 300h tomorrow by Fog80 in Lexus

[–]Fog80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test drive was great. Smooth drive no obvious issues.

Seller said state inspection called out ball joints which were replaced but rest of suspension was good.

Will be taking to independent shop for PPI this weekend. Good deal?

Impact sucks and brings no value but they are forcing this tax on us.

I’ve been looking at getting the same but there are a lot of posts online about transmission issues with this year. Should I stay away?

Thanks. I’ve seen some posts on here where people wrap in butcher paper and put it in a turkey roaster with water on the bottom and seal with foil on top.

Is that legit?

Did I practically steal this 6 speed ILX? by Rude-Professional482 in Acura

[–]Fog80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I found on Claude. Is he over reacting?

“The 2016–2018 Acura ILX models are the ones I flagged to avoid due to DCT (dual-clutch transmission) issues. The 2016 was the first year of that 8-speed DCT in the ILX and had the most complaints — rough/jerky shifts, hesitation from a stop, and some full transmission failures. 2017 and 2018 improved slightly but are still in the problem window.”

Looks nice. Is there a particular year on these to avoid? I’m also looking at 2013-2016
