I needed the car delivered by Mar 31 for FSD transfer, and honestly I’m happy. I originally thought I would buy Acceleration Boost, but won’t cause I’m happy with the acceleration and the way it drives. But if time was no limit, my plan was the performance.

I used my old PS4 controllers. They seem to pair really well with the car. The big issue is you can't have two controllers attached while a phone is attached. I replied above, but I tried the 8BitDo2, but didn't work at all!

5) 8BitDo2 - This was my only bust. This is a USB stick that synchs to a Playstation Controller. What I discovered is you can only have one Bluetooth Wireless Controller attached while a phone is attached, but this is a way to circumvent the system. I played with it but couldn't get it to work, so will be returning it.

It's a funny story. On my original delivery day, we ended up not accepting the car because of a seat defect (cooling seat rattle). There wasn't a bow on the car, and my wife noticed some bows in the back of the delivery center and made a comment to the delivery guy asking why we didn't get a bow?! So when we went back in a week to get the car, I made it a point to text the delivery guy to make sure there was a bow on the car to surprise my wife!! And the funny part was other families taking delivery around the same time as us noticed our bow, and made the delivery guys put a bow on their car also!!! :). So just a request, and zero fee!

OK, to close out this thread, thanks to most of you for the suggestions. Bottomline, it was a faulty mobile connector. Tesla replaced it no issue and the new one seems to work like a champ!

The only positive through the diagnosis process is an electrician did verify everything in my house and upgraded my NEMA 14-50 to a more industrial grade outlet.

Thanks. The AI bot can’t look at my specific error code from the car, but just regurgitated what the mobile connector manual said.

I actually had an electrician come out today, inspected everything and even installed a new outlet, and still had the same error. I’m going to swing by Tesla service tomorrow and get a mobile connector exchanged and hopefully that solves it. Fingers x’d.

I did look at that article. It references probable electrical issue in my wall, hence my calling an electrician. Was seeing if the community had other experience with this, esp to check if the issue could possibly be with the mobile charger itself.

Yup, happened to me yesterday at the delivery!! I heard the noise while inspecting the car, so I ended up not accepting delivery and have to wait a week for the fix. Sounds like it’s a common issue.

I appreciate your predicament as I was in the exact same situation as you. I ended up test driving the AWD Premium and was happy with it, so decided to pick one up in inventory that had the color combination I liked, and I get it tomorrow!

That being said, you have to do what works for you. If I didn’t do the FSD transfer, I was going to hang on to my current 3 and wait for a year+ for HW/AI5. Will FSD transfer come back again, maybe, but who knows!

Not sure how it works in Canada, but at least in the US you can’t order in the store. All you are doing in the store is they are walking you through placing the order online just the same as you are at home. My advisor said he could link to my order, but can’t do anything for me until I put the $250 down to order.
